Phosphatidylinositol analogues that block the activation of Akt for the treatment of cancer

D-myo-phosphatidylinositol analogues with Akt antagonist activity are claimed in a patent from Georgetown university. The compounds contain an inositol ring with different hydroxyl and/or ether substitution patterns together with a C1 linker and a lipophillic bis-ether side chain. The compounds are indicated to be useful in the treatment of cancer and other human diseases.
