Abstract: | 36 case histories were analyzed. The patients had purulent intracranial processes combined with inflammation of the paranasal sinuses and ear. Cause-effect relationships in development of the above diseases are considered. It was found that paranasal and auricular inflammation combined with purulent intracranial processes do not cause always the latter. The ENT diseases may develop not only in parallel with purulent intracranial pathology, but also as its complication. It is shown that post-mortem hyperdiagnosis exists of ethmoidal and sphenoid inflammation as a cause of purulent intracranial processes. |
