| Abstract: | Summary. The purpose of this paper is to report on the First International Conference on Continuing Medical Education. The article will first address the growing significance of continued medical education within the continuum of medical education. Secondly, it will address the justification and imperative for a global view of medical education and will then provide an overview of the events of the First International Conference. Finally, it will discuss plans for future collaborative efforts in support of global CME initiatives. |
