| Abstract: | In this report, the presence of the insulin/insulin-like substances was demonstrated in the brains of rats and rabbits. The concentrations of insulin/ insulin-like substances were highest in the hypothalamus. The insulin/insulin-like substances have been detected in the polyribosomes of the rat brain. The results showed that the brain might possess the ability of synthesining insulin/ insulin-like substances. |
