Effect Analysis of Budesonide Inhalation on Acute Infectious Laryngitis

Objective: To analyze the effect of budesonide inhalation on acute infectious laryngitis in children.Methods: Seventy-five cases of hospitalized children with acute infectious laryngitis were randomly divided into a control group(35 cases) and a treatment group(40 cases) according to treatment sequence as the object of study.Both groups were given comprehensive treatment,the control group was given intravenous dexamethasone 0.2~0.3 mg/(kg·d),1 time/d,while treatment group was treated with inhalation of budesonide suspension,1 mg/time,2 times/d.The treatment lasted for 3 to 5 days.Results: The time of both symptoms alleviation and hospitalization in the treatment group was obviously shorter than that in the control group(P<0.01),with no obvious side effects observed.Conclusions: Aerosol inhalation of budesonide shows rapid and good efficacy with no obvious side effects for the treatment of acute infectious laryngitis.
