Abstract:Objective:To study the effect of 45Hz high-frequency vibration training in elderly patients with knee osteoarthritis(KOA)and its effect on bone density and muscle endurance of lower limbs.Methods:125 elderly KOA patients treated in a hospital from July 2018 to September 2020 were divided into control group and observation group by lottery.62 cases in the control group were given 30 Hz vibration training,and 63 cases in the observation group were given 45Hz high-frequency vibration training.Joint symptoms(Western Ontario and McMaster University Osteoarthritis Index(WOMAC)Scale),bone density(greater trochanter,femoral neck,and Ward triangle bone density),muscle endurance(ankle,hip,and knee flexion and extension endurance test)and safety of lower limbs were compared between the two groups before and after training.Results:Before training,there was no statistical significance in the comparison of the two groups of patients(P>0.05).After training,the extensor and flexor endurance of knee,ankle and hip joint in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The bone density of Ward triangle,femoral neck and greater trochanter in observation group was higher than that in control group,and the total WOMAC score was lower than that in control group(P<0.05).There was no statistical significance in the comparison of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:45Hz high-frequency vibration training can improve bone density and lower limb muscle endurance in elderly patients with KOA in a safe range,and alleviate joint symptoms.
