Imaging Diagnosis of Obstructive Diseases in Common Bile Duct

One hudrend and fifty-two patients with obstructive diseases of common bile duct were ex amined with ultrasonography as the first imaging modality. The results were compared with GI and PTC, includ ing 91 men and 61 women with the mean age 45.59 patients with periampullar carcinoma and 60 patients with common bile duct stones were detected. AII proved by pathology. The detectability of BUS combined with GI se ries was 95%,similar to 94% of PTC. The imaging characters of benign and malignant lesions were discribed and the merits of those methods were discussed.
