Effect of cluster nursing on pulmonary infection in patients with severe craniocerebral injury

Objective To explore the effect of cluster nursing after early establishment of artificial airway on pulmonary infection in patients with severe craniocerebral injury.Methods One hundred and fifty patients with severe craniocerebral injury treated in Huidong County People’s Hospital from February 2018 to February 2020 were selected and divided into control group and observation group with 75 cases in each group according to random number table method.Two groups of patients were equipped with early artificial airway,the control group received routine nursing measures,the observation group received cluster nursing measures.The ICU hospitalization time,hospitalization expenses,mechanical ventilation time,pulmonary infection and mortality of pulmonary infection were compared between the two groups.Results The mechanical ventilation time and ICU hospitalization time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group,and the ICU hospitalization expences of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of pulmonary infection and mortality of pulmonary infection in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of cluster nursing in patients with severe craniocerebral injury could significantly reduce the incidence of pulmonary infection and mortality,shorten the time of mechanical ventilation and hospital stay,reduce hospitalization expenses,and improve the prognosis of patients,which was worthy of clinical promotion and application.
