The Analysis of Clinical Profiles with 15 Hyperlipidemic Acute Pancreatitis Patients

Objective To explore the clinical feature of hyperlipidemic acute pancreatitis（HLAP） and to investigate the therapeutic strategies.Methods A retrcspective study was carried out to compare serum levels of amylase on 15 cases of HLAP,and serum glucose,serum triglyceride（TG） level,serum cholesterol level,Ranson score and balthazar CT scores were compared with those parameters of 22 patients with acute pancreatitis of other etiologies.The pathogenetic condition and result of treatment were compared between two groups too.Results The serum levels of amylase,serum glucose level,serum triglycende（TG）level,serum cholesterol level in group HLAP were 278±65 u/L,11.9±1.6 mmol/L,11.0±1.38 mmol/L,8.83±1.63 mmol/L,respectively.The corresponding values of those in control group were 1 028±145 u/L,7.1±0.4 mmol/L,0.79±0.09 mmol/L and 3.99±0.17 mmol/L,respectively（P0.01）.The ranson score,balthazar CT scores in HLAP group were 2.93±0.25,4.12±1.07,respectively;these parameters in control group were 2.45±0.64,4.04 ±1.26,respectively（P0.05）,Conclusion The clinlical feature of hyperlipidemic acute pancreatitis（HLAP） is different from acute pancreatitis of other etiologies.In the management of HLAP,it was important to reduce the serum triglycerlde level beyond the common practice.It should use insulin to treat HLAP patlents in earlier period of the disease.
