Digital Subtraction Angiography Diagnosis and Interventional Therapy in 22 Patients with Alimentary Tract Hemorrhage

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of Digital Subtraction Angiography diagnosis and interventional treatment in gastrointestinal hemorrhage.Methods 22 patients with gastrointestinal hemorrhage underwent arteriography test of abdominal aorta,celiac trunk,superior mesenteric and inferior mesenteric respectively.The patients with definite hemorrhage confirmed by DSA received embolotherapy,and other patients received Vasopressin infusion.Results Of all the 22 patients,19 patients had abnormal blood vessel angiograms,and the positive rate of angiography in gastrointestinal hemorrhage was 86.36%.Among the 19 cases,10 cases of angiograms demonstrated contrast medium leakage,6 cases of vascular malformation,2 cases of aneurysm,and 1 case of neoplasm hemorrhage.In the 12 patients treated by transcatheter embolization,10 cases were definite hemorrhage,and 2 were abnormal vascular,and the complete hemostasis rate was 96.30%.Vasopressin infusion was done in 7 patients,and the complete hemostasis rate was 85.71%.3 patients of normal vascular diagnosed by DSA received Vasopressin infusion treatment,and the complete hemostasis rate was 100.00%.Conclusion DSA is a valuable method for the diagnosis of gastrointestinal hemorrage.Arterial embolization or Vasopressin infusion in treatment of hemorrhage is safe and effective.
