Abstract: | A small proportion of patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma have operable liver metastases, as there is often multiple dissemination within the liver and to other organs. We present a case of a solitary liver metastasis found incidentally 20 years after radical nephrectomy for a chromophobe renal cell carcinoma. The patient underwent a liver resection with tumor-free margins and recovered uneventfully. Time will tell if this was oncologically successful. |
