Feasibility Analysis of Minimally Invasive Knee Replacement Surgery for Knee Osteoarthritis

Objective To explore the feasibility of minimally invasive knee replacement surgery for knee osteoarthritis.Methods 80 patients with knee osteoarthritis admitted to the Department of Joint Surgery of Tianjin Hospital from November 14,2019 to January 27,2020 were randomly divided into two groups:control group(n=38)and observation group(n=42).Traditional Total knee arthroplasty(TKA)and minimally invasive total knee arthroplasty(MIS-TKA)were used for treatment.Clinical efficacy,VAS and ADL scores before and after treatment,joint flexion,extension and total range of motion before and after treatment,and serum inflammatory factors before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results 1)The total clinical effective rate of the observation group was 92.86%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group 78.95%(P>0.05).;2)Compared with before treatment,the VAS scores of the two groups decreased significantly after treatment(P<0.05),while the ADL scores of the two groups increased significantly after treatment(P<0.05);3)Compared with before treatment,the joint flexion,extension and total range of motion of patients in the two groups were significantly increased(P<0.05),and the increase of the above indexes in the observation group after treatment was significantly greater than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion MIS-TKA is effective in treating knee osteoarthritis,which can effectively relieve pain symptoms,improve knee joint function and reduce inflammatory factors in synovial fluid of knee joint.
