洗必泰涂料对正畸儿童口腔中致龋菌的影响

目的　观察和探讨洗必泰涂料对正畸儿童牙面菌斑中细菌总数和变形链球菌数的影响,以及唾液pH值的 改变。方法　选择40例正畸儿童,随机分为两组,试验组涂布40%洗必泰涂料,对照组不做处理。分别于戴用矫 治器前及戴入后1月采集上颌牙唇颊面菌斑,测定菌斑中细菌总数及变形链球菌数,同时测定唾液pH值。结果　 对照组戴用后1月,细菌总数及变形链球菌数较戴用前明显增加(P<0.01),唾液pH值较戴用前降低(P<0.01)。 试验组与对照组戴用后1月相比,试验组细菌总数及变形链球菌数明显少于对照组(P<0.01),唾液pH值高于对 照组(P<0.01)。结论　戴用固定矫治器后,牙面菌斑内细菌总数及变形链球菌数较戴用前增加,唾液pH值较戴 用前降低,应用洗必泰涂料可明显抑制正畸儿童口腔内变形链球菌数,减少龋坏发生。

The Effect of Chlorhexidine Varnish on Streptococcus Mutans in Oral Cavity of Orthodontic Children

Objective To evaluate the effect of chlorhexidine varnish on Streptococcus mutans and total bacterial count in dental plaque of orthodontic children, and the changes of salivary pH.Methods Forty orthodontic subjects were randomly divided into two groups.The experimental group was applicated 40% chlorhexidine varnish and control group wasn't applicated. Bacterial levels of Streptococcus mutans and total counts were evaluated in dental plaque samples before using fixed appliances and after one month, respectively. The salivary pH was also measured.Results After one month,bacterial levels of Streptococcus mutans and total counts of control group was increased(P<0.01),and salivary pH was reduced(P<0.01). Bacterial levels of Streptococcus mutans and total counts in experimental group was decreased significantly after one month compared with that in control group(P<0.01),and salivary pH was higher than that in control group(P<0.01).Conclusion Chlorhexidine varnish can decreases S.mutans levels in orthodontic patients with fixed appliances and might be useful in preventing caries lesions.
