Abstract: | A 20-year-old man had a subacute onset of frontal lobe findings and seizures. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging showed three large lesions with mass effect and ring enhancement. Histology and biochemistry confirmed a demyelinating process similar to myelinoclastic diffuse sclerosis but with multiple, noncontiguous lesions. This variety of multiple sclerosis (MS) with clinical, neuroimaging, histological, and treatment characteristics different from typical MS could be termed disseminated diffuse sclerosis. |
