The Application of PBL Combined Case Analysis Teaching Method in Gynecology Teaching

Objective To explore and analyze the effect and application experience of problem-based learning(PBL) method and case analysis in gynecology teaching, in order to find out better teaching methods. Methods The third year students majoring in obstetrics and gynecology were divided into 1 class and 2 classes, class 1 and class 2 each have 30 students. Group A was one class to conduct case analysis teaching, group B was two classes to conduct PBL joint case analysis teaching. At the end of the period, the two groups of students were compared in their judgment thinking, final results and satisfaction evaluation. Results The scores of judgment thinking and final scores of group B are higher than those of group A(P<0.05). The score of students’ classroom satisfaction in group B is better than that in group A, and the difference is statistically significant( P<0.05). Conclusion In gynecology teaching, PBL combined with case analysis can effectively improve students’ critical thinking and improve their academic performance. Meanwhile, students ’classroom satisfaction under this teaching mode is higher.
