Abstract: | In the past decade several advances have been made in the field of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) imaging. MR spectroscopic imaging (MRSI) is one such advance which holds promise for detecting biochemical change on imaging of the prostate, and that can be used in several ways for improving the management of patients with prostate cancer. We review the literature, technique and basics of MRSI, with its current status in various situations as applied to the management of prostate cancer. |
