Study on the Correlation between Self-efficacy and Diabetes Control Status and Quality of Life in Community Patients with Type 2 Diabetes

Objective To investigate the status of self-efficacy,diabetes control status and quality of life of patients with type 2 diabetes in the community,and to explore the correlation between them.Methods A total of 150 patients with type 2 diabetes in the community who visited the hospital from January to December 2019 were randomly selected as the research objects.The general information questionnaire,the Chinese version of the General Patient Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES),the Diabetes Control Status Evaluation Scale(CSSD70)and the Chinese version of the Concise Health Status Questionnaire(SF-36)were used for the questionnaire survey.Results The self-efficacy score of community type 2 diabetes patients was(25.66±8.34)points,the total score of diabetes control evaluation score was(85.5±10.57)points,the score index was 61.07%,and the total quality of life score was(95.31±14.86)points;self-efficacy and diabetes control status,total life quality score and its various dimensions were positively correlated(P<0.05).Conclusion Community patients with type 2 diabetes have a low sense of self-efficacy,and their diabetes control status and quality of life are not ideal.The self-efficacy is significantly correlated with diabetes control status and quality of life,and both are positively correlated.Therefore,health education on diabetes-related knowledge should be strengthened,and patients'self-efficacy should be actively promoted to improve the control of diabetes,thereby improving the quality of life of patients.
