Professor Xu Fusong's Experience in Treating Premature Ejaculation

Professor XU Fusong has used Chinese medicine to treat premature ejaculation with good clinical effect.This paper presents the seven methods adopted by Professor XU in the treatment of premature ejaculation: invigorating the spleen and nourishing the heart;calming the mind and tranquilizing hyperactivity;reinforcing resistance and removing toxins;soothing the liver and relieving depression;tonifying the kidney and inducing astringency;clearing away the liver and purging fire;and removing dampness and heat.An analysis was made on Professor XU's therapeutic principles of treating both the liver and spleen,treating both the liver and kidney,treating both the heart and liver,treating both the exterior and interior and treating both the husband and wife.A summary was made on Professor XU's therapeutic notions of using both elimination and tonificaiton,moderately reinforcing yin and yang,and nourishing yin with sour and sweet drugs in combination.
