Abstract:OBJECTIVE To study chemical constituents of Sarcopyramis nepdensis. METHODS The compounds were isolated by means of column chromatography on sinica gel, DIAION HP20, Sephadex LH-20 and ODS. Their structures were elucidated by physicochemical properties and spectra. RESULTS Eleven compounds were obtained and identified as syringaresinol(1, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate(2, 3-methoxy-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde(3, cholestery 9, 12-octadecadienoate(4, cholesteryl hepadecanoate(5, cholestery trans-cinnamate(6, arjunic acid(7, 3, 4-dihydroxycinnamic acid(8, β-sitosterol(9, daucosterol(10 and aralidioside(11.CONCLUSION Compound 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 11 were isolated from the plant for the first time.
