| Abstract: | We describe a case of an abdominal pregnancy which presented in the firsttrimester with rapid accumulation of blood stained ascites. The ascitesresolved completely following surgical removal of a gestational sac fromthe peritoneal cavity. The pathophysiology of ascites in this case may besimilar to that in cases of ascites in other non-malignant gynaecologicalconditions. |
