Abstract: | The defectiveness of avian oncovirus MH2 is characterized further by genetic experiments and by tryptic peptide mapping. The results show that MH2 lacks full function of all three viral genes necessary for replication, namely, gag, env, and pol. The polyprotein MH2 p100 made in MH2 nonproducer cells contains the tryptic peptides of gag proteins p19 and p27. |
