Talking about adult work with young children

This paper reviews some issues which arise when interviewing young children about adult work, and describes the procedure followed and some initial findings from a current research project in this area. The range of evidence about adult work which is available to young children is considered, and some of the ways in which children construct theories which go beyond the evidence available are described.
