| 摘 要： | Effectiveness in treating 168 cases(175 eyes)ofparalytic squint by acupuncture in the past 10 yearsis reviewed.Based on subjective sensation ofdiplopia,motor function and synoptophore examina-tion,the short-term effect is:33.1% cured,38.3%markedly improved,16.6% improved,and 12% in-effective.Where squint was less than 20°and acupunc-ture started within 1 month of the disorder,pro-gnosis was good.Follow-up of 86 cases for 5.1±2.6years showed that cure increased from the short-term 34% to 67%.Half of these cases wereoriginally classified as markedly improved,improvedor ineffective.Surgery was advised for the remain-ing cases after sufficiently long observation.
