Abstract: | A hydromechanical model is developed for the simulation of the arterial systemic circulation. The geometry and elastic properties of arteries, the pulse-rate and stroke volume of the left ventricle, the design of peripheral resistances and the viscosity of the model fluid are approximated to physiological conditions. The parameters, pulse rate, stroke volume, pulse volume, elasticity of arteries, as well as peripheral resistances, are independent variables. |
