Effect of Clinical Pharmacists-Specialists Joint Outpatient on Promoting Rational Drug Use in Patients with Chronic Diseases

Objective To investigate the effect of clinical pharmacist-specialists joint outpatient on promoting rational drug use in patients with chronic diseases.Methods From January to June 2019,1000 patients with chronic diseases in our hospital were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,500 cases in each group.The patients in the control group were treated in the general outpatient,while the patients in the observation group were treated in the clinical pharmacist-specialists joint outpatient,and the clinical pharmacists gave pharmaceutical intervention.The eligible rate of prescription,the incidence of adverse reactions,patients’satisfaction,prescription indexes and patient care indexes were compared between the two groups.Results The eligible rate of prescription in the observation group was 99.00%,which was significantly higher than 90.80%in the control group(P<0.01).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 5.00%,which was significantly lower than 12.00%in the control group(P<0.01).The patients’satisfaction score of the observation group was(94.10±4.70)points,which was significantly higher than(82.20±9.30)points of the control group(P<0.01).The prescription indexes in the observation group were significantly improved than those in the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion The clinical pharmacist-specialists joint outpatient and the one-stop service of″clinical pharmacist-specialists″can improve the quality of pharmaceutical care and promote the rational use of drugs for patients with chronic diseases.
