  • Highlights? Hypercholesterolemia increases the risk of aggressive prostate cancer. ? Cholesterol-lowering statin drugs reduce the risk of aggressive prostate cancer. ? Hypercholesterolemia may elicit multiple mechanisms that affect prostate cancer. ? Hypercholesterolemia may be a risk factor for developing castration-resistance.
