| Abstract: | Calmodulin-dependent protein kinase(CaM-PK)and its variation in cell cycle of cultured rabbit aortic smooth muscle cells (ASMC) were studied. AC50 of CaCl2 and IC50 of TFP for CaM-PK were 190 and 560umol/L respectively. With the entry of G0 cells into cell cycle, there was a decrease in CaM-PK activity with the lowest point at 6 hours and an increase in late G1 with a peak at 9 hours. This result suggests that CaM-PK may play a positive effect on the proliferation of ASMC. |
