栗锦迁主任运用黄连温胆汤验案3则

Three proved cases of director LI Jin-qian application Huanglian Wendan decoction

Professor LI Jin-qian treats several diseases characterized by mental disorder which belongs to the syndrome of stagnated gallbladder Qi with disturbing phlegm or incoordination between gallbladder and stomach by using Huanglian Wendan decoction as basic formula, or taking the method of this decoction without using it. When using this decoction, Professor LI Jin-qian emphasizes on the function of clearing gallbladder by using the methods of regulating Qi-flowing for eliminating phlegm, clearing away gallbladder-heat and regulating the stomach, or clearing heat and relieving fidgetness. There are 3 cases, which are treated by clearing heat and dissipating phlegm. In case 1, dizziness belongs to the syndrome of phlegm-heat stasis. When using Huanglian Wendan decoction, Professor LI Jin-qian emphasizes that we should comprehend phlegm heat, spleen and stomach, and emotion of the patient, which present the symptoms, such as nausea, anorexia, abdominal distention, and stool irregularities, which belongs to the symptoms of digestive system; annoyance, timidity and headache, which belongs to the symptoms of emotional system.
