大学英语教学中跨文化意识的培养

大学英语教学的主要目标,是培养学生用英语进行跨文化交际的能力。交际的实质是不同文化之间的交流,交流中出现的文化冲突或文化障碍,究其根源来自不同的语言文化内涵。因此大学英语教学要加强对学生跨文化意识的培养,要创设跨文化意识培养的多维空间,增强学生对英语国家文化的了解、理解和宽容度,不断提高跨文化交际的综合能力。

The Cross-cultural Awareness in College English Teaching

The main purpose of Chinese College English Teaching is to cultivate the cross-cultural communication competence in English language among the students. The essential of communication is the intercourse among different cultures. Actually, the cultural conflicts and barriers reflected in communication originate from the different cultural connotations in those languages. Starting from the relationship between language and culture, this paper analyzes the connotation of the sense of cross-culture, and further discusses about how to cultivate the cross-cultural communication competence in English among students. The author puts forward an idea of building a multi-dimensional space for cultivating the cross-cultural communication competence, enhancing students' understanding and tolerance to the cultures of English speaking countries, and improving the comprehensive competence of cross-culture communication.
