| Abstract: | The ethanol withdrawal procedure was used to measure the alcohol abuse in rats after 2 months' access to a sweet ethanol solution. Alcohol abuse was found to be predicted by the initial level of the rat's locomotor asymmetry. The initial consumption of ethanol solutions was not found to be associated to the probability of alcohol abuse. |
