| Abstract: | The goal of this article is to facilitate the successful resolution of pressure ulcers. The nurse practitioner (NP) is an ideal health care professional to manage pressure ulcer care. This article reviews the basic principles related to wound care. The healing trajectory is discussed to assist an NP to determine appropriate therapy. Current, research-based management strategies are provided. |
