| Abstract: | Chloro4fluorophenyl)aminomethylenemalonic acid diethyl ester is the key intermediate for the synthesis of the antibacterial drug norfloxacin.A novel synthetic method starting from hydroxylmethylene malonic acid diethyl ester was designed and the overall yield was 517%. |
