| Abstract: | A new triterpenoidal saponin has been isolated from an aqueous EtOH extract of the legumes of Acacia auriculiformis and characterized as 3-O-(beta-D-xylopyranosyl(1----3)-beta-D-xylopyranosyl(1----4)-alpha-L- rhamnopyranosyl(1----2)]-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1----4)]-beta-D- glucopyranosyl)-3,16,21-trihydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic acid 1] by chemical studies and spectral data. |
