Abstract: | In 2007, New York State Public Health Law was revised to expand the scope of practice of radiologic technologists (RTs) to allow venipuncture, the administration of radiologic pharmaceuticals and contrast media, and the performance of venipuncture for that purpose. This article describes the development and implementation of a program to educate RTs in venipuncture and cardiopulmonary resuscitation in a large health system that included several tertiary hospitals community hospitals and an outpatient radiology center. |
