钕钇铝石榴石激光治疗后囊混浊（353例）

采用钕钆铝石榴石激光切除白内障囊外摘除术后１０１例后房人工晶体植入后２５２例的后囊混浊共３５３例，激光治疗疗后视力均明显提高，矫正视力＞１．０者占８２．４％，无１例＜０．５。无明显并发症。     

Relationship between renal capsular artery feeding and size of VX-2 carcinoma implant in the rabbit kidney

When regional intraarterial infusion is applied in the treatment of malignant tumors it is essential to reach the tumor via all its major feeder vessels. In this study VX-2 carcinoma was implanted into the lower pole of the left kidney in 24 rabbits to investigate whether the renal capsular artery takes part in tumor feeding. The rabbits were divided into four groups that were followed for 8, 10, 12 or 14 days after tumor implantation. At that time the renal artery was ligated close to the kidney and subsequently silicone rubber or barium sulfate/gelatin suspension was injected into the capsular artery. The tissue was cleared, and the tumor carefully removed and examined microscopically for traces of silicone rubber. When barium sulfate had been injected, the kidney was examined radiographically in order to detect possible presence of contrast medium in the tumor. This study revealed no vascular supply to the implanted VX-2 carcinoma from the capsular artery when the tumor was confined intracapsularly, i.e., up to 12 days after tumor implantation in untreated rabbits.This investigation was performed at the Oncological Research Laboratory, Department of Diagnostic Radiology, University of Bergen, Bergen, Norway     

The arthroscopic monopolar radiofrequency treatment of chronic anterior cruciate ligament instability

The Holmium:YAG (Ho:YAG) laser is the arthroscopic laser of choice. The arthroscopic surgeon can ablate, coagulate, or shrink periarticular soft tissues by manipulating Ho:YAG laser power settings. The ability to ablate soft tissue in a hemostatic fashion greatly facilitates the treatment of labral tear, synovitis, subacromial arch decompression, and distal clavicle arthritis. The nonablative application of Ho:YAG laser energy has been used successfully to treat glenohumeral instability. The laser-assisted capsular shift (LACS) procedure, in conjunction with standard labral repair techniques, successfully treats unidirectional and multidirectional shoulder instability Neuromuscular rehabilitation is accelerated. Excellent clinical results may be achieved with appropriate surgical technique and postoperative rehabilitation.     

A quantitative ELISA for antigen-specific IgG subclasses using equivalence dilutions of anti-kappa and anti-subclass specific secondary reagents Application to the study of the murine immune response against the capsular polysaccharide of Neisseria meningitidis serogroup B

We have developed an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) to measure murine antigen-specific IgG antibodies of defined subclass using precalibrated equivalence dilutions of anti-κ (in the standard) and each anti-IgG subclass-specific polyclonal secondary antibody (in the test sample). The calibration of secondary reagents could be carried out easily with a set of monoclonal antibodies (MoAbs) specific for all IgG subclasses. These MoAbs do not require purification or standardization. In addition the MoAbs can be of different antigenic specificity. Once the equivalence dilutions have been determined, they can be applied in a quantitative ELISA using the same antigen in the standard and sample, and using only one IgG subclass standard for the determination of all the IgG subclasses. The method is easy to standardize for many antigenic systems. It is particularly useful when the only standard available is one standardized MoAb of the appropriate specificity, and it could be adapted to use with standard polyclonal antibodies having a known content of total antigen-specific IgG bearing κ chains but unknown IgG subclass composition. The use of this method to quantitate IgG specific for the capsular polysaccharide of Neisseria meningitidis serogroup B (CpsB) gave highly reproducible measures with an interbatch CV of 5–6% similar for all IgG subclasses and low detection limits ranging from 0.3 ng/well for IgG3 to 0.8 ng/well for IgG2a. The IgG subclass response observed after immunization with live meningococci was mainly IgG2a (74%) and IgG2b (18%). Hyperimmunization modified this IgG distribution to one of mainly IgG3 (62%) and IgG1 (28%) which was maintained in the response to a single immunization 4 weeks later, possibly indicating the generation of resting B cells during continuous stimulation.     

Multiple epithelial cysts of the spleen and on the splenic capsule, and high serum levels of CA19-9, CA125 and soluble IL-2 receptor

An 18-year-old woman with abdominal pain was diagnosed as having splenic cysts by computed tomography scan. She had high serum levels of CA19-9 (2886.8 U/mL; normal value, <35 U/mL), CA125 (131.1 U/mL; normal value, <35 U/mL) and soluble IL-2 receptor (1490 U/mL; normal range, 220-530 U/mL). The resected spleen weighed 1050 g, was 14 x 28 cm, and had more than 10 macroscopic cysts up to 10.3 x 9.5 cm. There were numerous microscopic cysts in the spleen and several on the splenic capsule. The levels of CA19-9 and CA125 in the cyst fluid were 2165550 U/mL and 160400 U/mL, respectively. After the surgery, the serum levels of the tumor markers decreased gradually. The inside of the largest cyst was mainly covered by granulation tissue with a focal lining of epithelial cells, and the other macroscopic cysts had stratified squamous epithelium. The microscopic splenic cysts and cysts on the splenic capsule were lined by either attenuated single-layered or multilayered epithelial cells. The lining epithelial cells of these cysts were positive for epithelial membrane antigen and cytokeratins. CA19-9 and CA125 were detected in the lining cells of the splenic cysts. In the present case, it is suspected that the splenic cysts were derived from the capsular lining cells that showed migration from the capsule or formed microcysts on the splenic capsule, as in the case of ovarian inclusion cysts.     

Ischaemic changes in human mesenteric lymph nodes

Lymph node lesions attributable to ischaemia are described in the mesenteric nodes from 10 patients with volvulus of the small and large bowel. Frank infarction, the microanatomy of which differs from that seen in superficial lymph nodes, is one of the nodal lesions evoked by ischaemia. Two others in the form of lymphocyte depletion and capsular hypervascularity also appear to result from vascular occlusion. These three lesions were also found in nodes associated with 'primary' venous and arterial infarction of the bowel mucosa, but not in non-vascular diseases of the small bowel or colon. The enhanced frequency of infarction in volvulus with mucosal necrosis, as opposed to cases with 'primary' vascular thromboses suggest that ischaemic lymph node changes are more frequent when several sets of vessels are occluded. Distension of lymph node sinuses, erythrocyte extravasation, and dilatation of small intranodal vessels were not restricted to vascular cases, and appear to be less specific reactions to ischaemia. The range of ischaemia-induced reactions is wider than has hitherto been recognized in human lymph nodes.     

Effect of Liposome—Encapsulated Total Alkaloid of Harmaline on Rabbit Lens Epithelial Cells：Experimental Study on the Prevention of Posterior Capsule Opacification

Purpose: To investigate whether liposome encapsulated total alkaloid of Harmaline (TAH) as a therapeutic agent is beneficial to prevention of posterior capsular opacifi-cation (PCO).Methods: Liposome-encapsulated TAH was prepared by modified freeze-thawing method. 0. 1ml of liposome-encapsulated TAH (0. 2mg/ml) was injected into the capsular bag during extracapsular lens extraction (ECLE) of each eye in total 10 rabbit eyes. Blank liposome or balance salt solution (BSS) was used as control. Slit-lamp examination and histopathological examination was used to evaluated capsule opacifica-tion. Intraocular pressure (IOP) , density and morphology of corneal endothelia cells, the amplitude and latency of b wave of ERG were measured.Results: The inflammatory response was mild both in TAH treated and the control group. PCO formation occurred in the control group 2 weeks postoperatively, but the posterior capsule was clear in TAH treated eyes. 4 weeks and 8 weeks after operation, PCO occurred both in TAH treated
