Implementation strategies for the first licensed dengue vaccine: A meeting report

Dengue vaccination would enhance the control of dengue, one of the most frequent vector-borne viral diseases globally. CYD-TDV is the first dengue vaccine to be licensed, but global uptake has been hampered due to its use being limited to seropositive persons aged 9 years and above, and the need for a 3-dose schedule. The Partnership for Dengue Control (PDC) organized a meeting with key opinion leaders and stakeholders to deliberate on implementation strategies for the use of CYD-TDV. New data have emerged that support the shortening of the primary schedule from a 3 to 2 dose schedule, extending the age range below 9 to 6 years of age, and expanding the indication from endemic populations to also include travelers to endemic areas. Cost-effectiveness may improve with the modified 2-dose regimen and with multiple testing. Strategies to implement a dengue vaccination program have been developed, in particular school-based strategies. A range of delivery scenarios can then be considered, using various settings for each step of the intervention. However, several challenges remain, including communication about limiting the use of this vaccine to seropositive individuals only. Affordability will vary from country to country, as will government commitment and community acceptance. Well-tailored communication strategies that target key stakeholders are expected to make up a significant part of any future dengue vaccination program.     

L’identification projective dans la toxicomanie

In this article we shall see how using drugs disturbs the activity of projective identification and symbolical processes. The addict clinic makes known the early difficulties of expression of projective identification in correction with mother object apprehended like persecuting or idealizing. Because of real trauma or difficulties to realize the process of separation-individuation, the repression has not succeeded to put up or has become insufficient. In the same way, the psychic work of projection and introjection has been put in parentheses by the drug. This one, by activating a narcissistic libido to hold the representations of destructive instincts, substitutes an incorporation act to introjection, signs the breaking off the object relation and compromises the process of symbolization. The incorporation act expresses a traumatic experience, which has not been symbolized in an incorporation fantasy. It’s going on by a process of demetaphorisation. Contrary to psychotic personality, the stop of the projective identification avoids the loss of the identity feeling. The percept system is distorted to accuse the destabilising effects of an external and internal reality.     

Study of fingerprint classification and their gender distribution among South Indian population

Identification of an individual plays a vital part of any medicolegal investigation. Fingerprint is considered to be the most accurate and reliable indicator in identification.The present study was conducted on 500 South Indian subjects to determine the individuality and the predominant fingerprint pattern among South Indian population. Two-hundred and fifty males and 250 females of South Indian origin were included for this study and rolled prints were taken from all the 10 digits and the same were stored on a proforma.The most frequent fingerprint pattern was ulnar loop in the total population, as well as in the sex wise distribution.     

血脂调节剂的研究——Ⅰ.HMG-CoA还原酶抑制剂M-8614A及MH-2688B产生菌的筛选

利用酶联免疫吸附测定法,酶标β-羟基β-甲基-戊二酸单酰铺酶A(HMG-CoA)还原酶抑制剂Compactin抗体,定向筛选血脂调节剂。从青霉M-8614菌株发酵液中分离到M-8614A。该物质理化性质及波谱解释表明与Mevastatin为同一物质。 M-8614菌株用亚硝酸盐等诱变剂处理,从诱变株MH-2688发酵液中分离到MH-2688B。该物质理化性质及波谱解释表明与Lovastatin为同一物质。     

大鼠骨髓巨噬细胞的分离,纯化,培养以及鉴定

目的：为深入研究骨髓巨噬细胞的生物学功能，探索一种简便的骨髓巨噬细胞的分离，纯化和培养的方法。方法：分离获取大鼠骨髓细胞，在60％DMEM培养液，20％马血清，20％(v／v)L929培养上清的诱导条件下进行体外贴壁培养，6～7天时获得纯度较高的贴壁细胞。采用倒置显微镜下观察生活状态、Wrights染色光镜观察、电子显微镜观察检测贴壁细胞形态学；酸性磷酸酶及非特异性酯酶染色测定细胞内酶的表达；吞噬鸡红细胞及墨汁颗粒实验检测其吞噬功能；免疫细胞化学染色观察细胞表面标志等生物学技术鉴定培养的贴壁细胞性质。结果：获得高纯度的巨噬细胞，且具有良好的吞噬功能，并且具备巨噬细胞的形态特征，特有的水解酶类及特有的表面标志-CD68。结论：本法是一种简易实用的体外分离、纯化、培养骨髓巨噬细胞的方法。     

The Alcohol Beverage Warning Label: When Did Knowledge Increase?

This article presents data on the awareness of the alcohol beverage warning label among a sample of 5,169 inner city African-American gravidas seeking prenatal care. While the label law was implemented in November 1989, a significant increase in knowledge of the label did not occur until March 1990. Women who predominantly consumed wine coolers and beer, and those under age 30 were more likely to know about the label than their counterparts.     

有效中药复方研究的方法学探讨

从化学的角度探讨了临床有效中药复方研究的四个过程 ,简述了直接试验设计在全方药味筛选及化学模式识别中药质量控制中的应用 ,论述了复方有效部位和有效部位中主要有效成分的确定及化学计量学的应用和主要药效物质化学结构信息的计算机模拟方法 ,为中药复方研究提供一个范例。     

食品中污染酵母菌的RAPD分类鉴定

目的探索采用RAPD技术对食品污染酵母进行分类鉴定的可行性。方法采用RAPD技术对从食品中分离到的22株污染酵母菌进行分子分型并以UPGMA法构建以上菌株的带型关系系统树状图。结果22株污染酵母菌总共扩增出11种不同的指纹图谱，经聚类分析可分为2个聚类群。结论RAPD技术可以作为一种有效、快速、简便的对污染酵母菌进行分类鉴定的手段。     

中国三囊库蠓亚属的种类分布及分类研究(双翅目:蠓科)
