Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor of the back

A 65-year-old woman developed a tumor on the medial aspect of the lumbosacral spine. The diagnosis on biopsy was neurogenic sarcoma, T3N0M0. Despite wide surgical excision and regular follow-up, the patient developed a local recurrence requiring several supplementary operations before her death 4 years after the initial diagnosis. This case illustrates the highly aggressive and recurrent nature of these rare neurogenic tumors; they require early multidisciplinary management and regular careful follow-up. 咽旁间隙神经鞘瘤的诊治——附7例报告

目的： 提高临床对咽旁间隙神经鞘瘤的认识。方法： 报告近二十年来收治的７ 例咽旁间隙神经鞘瘤的临床资料,男３ 例,女４ 例,全部采用手术治疗,其中口内径路２ 例,颈侧切开径路５ 例。结果： 所有病例经随访２ ～８ 年,均无复发。结论： 该病应早期诊断,ＣＴ 应列为常规检查;手术切除要彻底,颈侧切开为一安全、彻底的手术径路
