This paper presents the use of iterative dynamic programming employing exact penalty functions for minimum energy control problems. We show that exact continuously non-differentiable penalty functions are superior to continuously differentiable penalty functions in terms of satisfying final state constraints. We also demonstrate that the choice of an appropriate penalty function factor depends on the relative size of the time delay with respect to the final time and on the expected value of the energy consumption. A quadratic approximation (QA) of the delayed variables is much better than a linear approximation (LA) of the same for relatively large time delays. The QA improves the rate of convergence and avoids the formation of ‘kinks‘. A more general way of selecting appropriate penalty function factors is given and the results obtained using four illustrative examples of varying complexity corroborate the efficacy of the method.  相似文献

Previous studies have suggested that variations in the underlying ventricular fibrillation (VF) waveform may be one of the factors responsible for the probabilistic nature of defibrillation. The heart appeared to be more susceptible to defibrillation at higher absolute VF voltages (AVFV). This study investigated in an open-chest canine model (n = 8), a newly developed system that analyzed the VF waveform in real-time, instantaneously determined the time to shock, and immediately delivered a fixed low energy DC shock. A two parameter tracking technique using a running long-term and short-term AVFV average was devised to automatically identify a high voltage peak area of the VF waveform, which has been hypothesized to represent a critical period susceptible to defibrillation. Using a DC shock estimated at the 50% success level, the performance using this technique in 58 defibrillation trials was compared to the performance of the conventional method of shocking at a fixed time (random shock method) in 62 trials. Patch size, electrode location, and discharge voltage were kept constant while VF duration, transmyocardial resistance (TMR), energy delivered, and AVFV at the point of shock were measured. Shock energy and current, TMR, and VF duration were similar with both shock methods. A significantly higher AVFV was observed for trials performed with the peak shock method (0.66 ± 0.02 mV) as compared to trials performed with the random shock method (0.25 ± 0.09 mV) (P < 0.003). Using lead II as the only sensing lead, the success rate was increased in 6 of 8 dogs (75%) with the new method. One animal showed identical performance, and one animal a worse performance. The overall increase in success rate was 24% using a single ECG lead (range 0%-100%; P < 0.04). Our data document that using this algorithm a period of high VF voltage can be detected in realtime. The improved success in the majority of animals supports the hypothesis that a critical period susceptible to defibrillation exists during VF. However, the high AVFV detected using a single ECG lead did not translate to an improved success rate in all animals. This suggests that other factors in addition to the VF voltage measured on a single lead of the ECG are important in characterizing this critical period.  相似文献

Summary The aim of the present study was to investigate the chronic effects of a dietetic antihypertensive treatment on blood pressure, ventricular dynamics and geometry of the pressure loaded heart. Spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) received a standard diet enriched with 10% mackerel oil, containing 30% polyunsaturated Q-3 fatty acids, over a period of 70 days. As described previously the diet reduced blood pressure permanently by 40-50 mm Hg. Despite this reduction, the degree of left ventricular hypertrophy was only slightly (statistically insignificantly) reduced. This was probably a result of an increase in sympathetic tone as indicated by a raised pulse rate. On the other hand, the treatment prevented the development of eccentric hypertrophy, typical to the SHR, without changing the elastic material properties of the myocardium. Since the age-matched controls did not show significant degenerative alterations, protective effects at the level of myocardial tissue could not be demonstrated. Furthermore, future investigations need to investigate why myocardial contractility of the treated animals diminishes as observed in this study.  相似文献

The absolute granulocyte count (AGC) in 125 blood samples from patients with total white blood cell counts of less than 1,000/microliter was estimated using three different methods, which were then compared for efficiency and accuracy. The three methods were 25 cell differential counts using Wright's-stained blood smears, granulocyte percentage estimates from WBC counting chambers, and combined narrow- and wide-angle light-scatter characteristics determined on a flow cytometer. A survey of clinical laboratories at University Hospital Cancer Centers revealed that the smear differential was the most-often-used method in those laboratories even when less than 25 cells could be counted. Consequently the data obtained from the counting chamber and flow cytometer methods were compared to the smear differential "standard" using linear regression, and outliers were identified. There was good correlation between AGC determined by smear differential and WBC counting chamber (correlation coefficient .911) and excellent correlation between the AGC determined by smear differential and the flow cytometer method (correlation coefficient .970). The flow cytometer method used in this investigation required minimal specimen preparation, and test results were available at a rate of 60 seconds/sample. The ease of sample preparation, speed, and statistical reliability of test results makes the flow cytometer an attractive alternate method of determining granulocyte counts on leukopenic patients as compared to the stained blood smear differential.  相似文献

目的 探讨切线时间常数 ( τt)在慢性阻塞性肺疾病 ( COPD,慢阻肺 )和肺心病患者 F- V曲线形状转变中的变化及临床意义。方法 测定了 90例缓解期 COPD患者 (慢支 43例 ,肺气肿 47例 )及 31例合并肺心病患者的 F- V曲线。并在 F- V曲线上测量高、中、低肺容积的切线时间常数 τt75 、τt5 0 、τt2 5 ,与正常人和吸烟者的 τt作对比分析。结果  1正常范围内 F- V曲线形状呈平台型、直线型、凸型和凹型 4种 ,| τt75 | >1s或 <1s,τt2 5 <1s,τt关系呈“青少年式”或“老年式”;2轻、中度异常的 F- V曲线呈凸型 ,| τt75 | <1s,τt2 5 ≈ 1s或 >1s,τt 关系呈“喇叭式”改变 ;3严重异常的 F- V曲线形状呈双曲线型 ,| τt75 | <1s,τt2 5 =4s~ 10 s,τt关系呈“塔式”改变。结论 双曲线型、τt2 5 极度延长和“塔式”改变是判断病情严重性的三大重要标志。该方法简便准确 ,利于在临床推广应用  相似文献

本文对41例年龄7—12岁右利健康儿童,头部选取5对(10个)样点,对各样点的功率和相对功率Ⅰ,Ⅱ的四个经典频带(δ,θ,α,β)进行几种数学转换,用正态性D检验法观察各参量转换前后的分布状态。结果,转换前,功率分布状态较差;而相对功率的参量原值近正态分布的情况较好,其中相对功率Ⅰ较相对功率Ⅱ更佳。而相对功率Ⅰ的X、log(X)和log(X/1—X)转换为最佳。就功率而言,log(x)转换最好,但仍不能完全满足各频带统计学的要求。  相似文献
