Sixty-six bipolar I lithium clinic patients were studied for a history of psychotic symptoms at some time during the course of their illness. Agreement between different sources of information was calculated, and the patient population was divided into psychotic and non-psychotic subgroups. Probability of remaining well on lithium for the different subgroups was analyzed by the life table method. Psychosis during mania appeared to be associated with especially good early lithium prophylaxis.  相似文献

ObjectivesPharmacy staff working in hospitals are at risk of contracting and disseminating influenza. Previous research focuses on community pharmacists’ attitudes towards influenza and vaccination. This survey investigates the beliefs and attitudes of pharmacists and other pharmacy staff working in English Hospitals regarding influenza and the vaccine and how this relates to vaccine uptake.MethodsA self-administered survey was provided to pharmacy staff at three hospitals in the East Midlands of England. Job role, age and vaccination status (vaccinated, intended to be vaccinated, and not vaccinated) were collected alongside ratings of agreement with 20 statements regarding influenza and vaccination using a Likert scale.Results170 pharmacy staff responded; 50.6% had been vaccinated, 17.1% intended to be vaccinated and 32.4% were not vaccinated. Increasing age showed a significant (p = 0.017) positive correlation with increased vaccine uptake as did the beliefs that vaccination protects the individual from influenza (p = 0.049) and that vaccination should be mandatory for NHS staff (p = 0.006). Fear of needles and believing their immune system is strong enough to protect against influenza were negatively correlated with vaccine uptake (p = 0.016 and p = 0.010, respectively). Job role was also strongly correlated with vaccine uptake (p = 0.001), with those holding a pharmacy degree more likely to report being vaccinated or intending to be vaccinated compared to all other pharmacy staff groups.ConclusionsThis is the first survey to focus on vaccine behaviours of all pharmacy staff groups working in hospitals. Current uptake of the influenza vaccine may be increased through engagement of senior pharmacy colleagues and providing education on influenza, vaccines, and vaccination. Similar studies should be undertaken on a larger scale to fully interrogate the differences between pharmacy staff groups.  相似文献

BackgroundThe NICU environment presents many barriers for mothers to provide breast milk for their infants. In order to succeed, mothers require advice and assistance from healthcare staff, however some staff lack the necessary knowledge and skills to support them. This review evaluates studies of breastfeeding education interventions on staff knowledge outcomes.MethodsA systematic search of the literature was conducted. Research studies that measured NICU staff knowledge outcomes of training were included.ResultsFrom 94 studies identified, four were included, each demonstrated significant positive effects on staff knowledge outcomes following a breastfeeding educational intervention in NICU. There were no RCTs, three studies used a pre and post-test design, and one used a post-test only design. One study performed a time series analysis of knowledge, staff attitudes and beliefs and two studies conducted an audit of breastfeeding rates.ConclusionsThis review identified a lack of good quality evidence on the effectiveness of breastfeeding educational interventions for staff in NICU. Future research should address the breastfeeding education needs of multidisciplinary healthcare staff in NICU through large, well-conducted RCTs.  相似文献

目的调查抗击新冠肺炎临床一线医务人员心理韧性与焦虑、抑郁的状况,并了解疫情中临床一线医务人员心理韧性与焦虑、抑郁相关性。方法采用心理韧性量表(CD-RISC)、焦虑自评量表(SAS)、抑郁自评量表(SDS)对抗击新冠肺炎临床一线医务人员进行问卷调查,并用Pearson分析其相关性。结果90名抗击新冠肺炎临床一线医务人员的心理韧性总分为(87.178±16.639)分,坚韧性、自强性、乐观性三个维度得分为(44.022±9.236)分、(29.800±5.773)分和(13.356±3.014)分,在性别、年龄、学历、婚姻状况、工作年限、职称、月收入上无统计学意义(P>0.05);焦虑自评量表得分为(45.333±10.539)分,抑郁自评量表得分为(51.956±11.777)分,未达到焦虑、抑郁水平,但略高于全国常模,但在性别、年龄、学历、婚姻状况、工作年限、职称、月收入上均无统计学意义(P>0.05);Pearson相关分析显示:心理韧性与焦虑、抑郁呈负相关,相关性具有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论抗击新冠肺炎临床一线医务人员心理韧性与焦虑、抑郁呈负相关,心理韧性水平越高,焦虑、抑郁程度越低。  相似文献
