Absent chondrodysplasia punctata in a male with an Xp terminal deletion involving the putative region for CDPX1 locus

This is a follow-up report on a male patient with a 46, Y, r(X) karyotype. Although he had no clinico-radiological features of X-linked recessive chondrodysplasia punctata (CDPX1), molecular studies revealed an Xp terminal deletion involving the putative region for the CDPX1 locus (PABX-DXS31). We suspect that the absence of CDPX1 may be attributable to the nature of the disease and the extreme short stature of the patient (mean – 5.6 S.D.). © 1993 Wiley-Liss, Inc.     

Investigation of aneuploidy induction in mouse oocytes following exposure to vinblastine-sulfate,pyrimethamine, diethylstilbestrol diphosphate,or chloral hydrate

The various causative and mechanistic phenomena associated with aneuploidy induction require considerable investigation to better understand the etiology of chromosome missegregation. We investigated the potential of vinblastine sulfate, pyrimethamine, diethylstilbestrol diphosphate, and chloral hydrate to induce numerical and structural chromosome changes in female mouse germ cells. Superovulated ICR mice were administered the compounds either by intraperitoneal injection or oral gavage, and oocytes were collected and processed for cytogenetic analysis 17 hr later. Vinblastine sulfate, administered i.p., induced a significant increase in the frequency of ovulated Ml oocytes and of hyperploid Mll oocytes compared to controls, but did not increase the frequency of structural aberrations. Pyrimethamine, diethylstilbestrol diphosphate, and chloral hydrate did not increase the frequency of numerical or structural chromosome changes in female mouse germ cells. © 1993 Wiley-Liss, Inc.     

556例遗传咨询病例细胞遗传学分析

目的 :分析染色体异常与临床疾病的关系。方法 :应用细胞培养染色体分析技术对 5 5 6例遗传咨询病例进行细胞遗传学检查。结果 :发现 47例染色体结构或数目异常 ,占受检人数的 8.4% ,其中常染色体异常 39例 ,性染色体异常 8例。此外检出 46例 ,XY女性反转综合征 2例。结论 :反复自然流产和不孕不育夫妇及怀疑 Down综合征者应进行染色体检查     

无精子症和严重少精子症134例遗传学分析

目的：研究无精子症和严重少精子症患者染色体畸变及Y染色体(Yql1区)无精子症因子(azoospermic factor，AZF)缺失情况，建立Y染色体微缺失的临床筛查方法。方法：对134例患者(无精子症97例，严重少精子症37例)经染色体核型分析及AZF、区三个位点8对引物PCR扩增，检测染色体畸变和Y染色体微缺失率。结果：134例中染色体核型异常9例，占6．72％。AZF缺失18例，缺失率为13．43％。无精子症和严重少精子症AZF、缺失率分别为14．43％、10．81％。结论：染色体畸变和Y染色体微缺失是导致无精子症和严重少精子症的主要原因之一。无精子症缺失率高于严重少精子症患者。AZF区三个位点8对引物PCR扩增可作为Y染色体微缺失的临床筛查方法。
