Summary The micro-rheological property of blood was investigated with a new micro method. Principle: a glass fiber ( 10 , l=2.0 cm), driven by a constant force, traverses a blood sample. The speed of the glass fiber is directly proportional to the viscosity of the blood. Because of the small diameter of the fiber, the method is considered to be more sensitive to the intercellular friction of the erythrocytes. The methodical error was less than ±2%. The values obtained with the new method resembled those of coaxial viscosimeters. 相似文献

本文根据传输线法介电测量原理建立起100KHz~500MHz频率范围的生物物质介电测量系统,该系统由网络分析仪、同轴线腔式传感器及测温控温装置等组成,并由计算机实现自动采样与分析。对测量误差的来源作了详细分析,一定修正和补偿条件下,本文制做的腔式传感器适用于整个频率范围。对人全血和人脑组织等高含水量物质的介电常数测量误差小于3%,电导率误差小于2%。 相似文献

Embolization with “Ethibloc” of vascular tumors and arteriovenous malformations in the head and neck
Summary Ethibloc has been used almost exclusively until now for embolization of tumors and bleeding vessels in the liver and kidney. Unlike with Gelfoam-particles, there is no recanalization. The resorption occurs so slowly that there is no interference with the necrosis of the embolized tumor. Due to its low viscosity, it passes catheters with thin lumina and fills the capillary bed of the tumor without danger of reaching the venous vessels. In this paper we describe a new technic of percutaneous catheter-embolization with Ethibloc using a coaxial catheter which we believe enhances safety and effectiveness. It has been successfully used in five patients. Percutaneous transcatheter embolization of splanchnic artery aneurysms is a minimally invasive and alternative therapy to
conventional surgical intervention. Due to a high-grade stenosis at the origin of the celiac trunk, a retrograde approach
to the celiac trunk pseudoaneurysm via the gastroduodenal artery was necessary. To prevent undesirable embolization into the
peripheral left gastric artery initial occlusion of the central portion of the left gastric artery was performed with microcoils
using a Tracker catheter. Complete occlusion of the celiac trunk itself and the short adjacent segments of the celiac artery
was achieved by using a mixture of N-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate and ethiodized oil as the embolizing agent.

We tested a novel neurocatheter in a brain-tissue gel model of drug infusion via convection-enhanced delivery (CED) for the treatment of a variety of neurological diseases. CED is an alternative to systemic administration of agents by intravenous or oral routes, which are often less effective or carry risk of systemic side effects. We investigated two co-axial tube devices, with outer diameters of 1.6?mm and 2.0?mm. Bromophenol blue dye was infused into 400?ml of 0.6% agarose gel at 1?μl/min for 1?h, with/without the inner and outer tubes Luer-locked at the proximal end, with/without the inner tube primed, and with/without the inner tube preloaded into the outer tube upon insertion into the gel. The unlocked, primed, and unloaded configuration produced infusions that resulted in significantly less (p?<?0.05) entrapped air escaping into the gel and resulted in no reflux of infusate. 相似文献

目的探讨在CT引导下应用半自动同轴活检枪对胸部占位性病变经皮穿刺活检的临床可行性及安全性。方法56例胸部占位性病变的患者,采用半自动同轴活检枪在CT引导下行经皮穿刺活检术并送病理检查,统计穿刺活检的成功率及病理检查结果;术后行CT扫描,统计穿刺活检的并发症及穿刺活检的安全性。结果半自动同轴活检枪穿刺活检的成功率为92.9%(52/56);病理检查结果:穿刺成功的52例患者中,腺癌18例、鳞癌10例、小细胞癌9例、淋巴瘤2例、胸腺瘤2例、转移癌8例、真菌感染1例、肉芽肿性炎2例;穿刺活检的并发症:合并出血和或咯血的发生率32%(18/56)、气胸发生率19.6%(11/56)、死亡率1.8%(1/56);未发生穿刺点感染、针道种植转移等其他并发症。结论半自动同轴活检枪在CT引导下对胸部占位性病变经皮穿刺活检术是一种创伤小、相对安全、确诊率高的诊断方法,可在胸部占位性疾病临床诊断中广泛推广应用。 相似文献

ZnO and Zn acetate nanoparticles were embedded in polycaprolactone coaxial-fibers and uniaxial-fibers matrices to develop potential antibacterial nanocomposite wound dressings (mats). Morphology, composition, wettability, crystallinity and fiber structure of mats were characterized. Antibacterial properties of mats were tested against E. coli and S. aureus by turbidity and MTT assays. The effect of UVA illumination (prior to bacteria inoculation) on mats’ antibacterial activity was also studied. Results showed that a coaxial-fibers design maintained nanoparticles distributed in the outer-shell of fibers and, in general, enhanced the antibacterial effect of the mats, in comparison to conventional uniaxial-fibers mats. Results indicated that mats simultaneously inhibited planktonic and biofilm bacterial growth by, probably, two main antibacterial mechanisms; 1) release of Zn2+ ions (mainly from Zn acetate nanoparticles) and 2) photocatalytic oxidative processes exerted by ZnO nanoparticles.
