目的探讨三康胶囊对高原人体运动后一氧化氮(NO)及其合酶(NOS)、乳酸(BLA)、血氨(Ammo)的影响.方法选择进驻海拔3 700 m高原1年的10名健康青年,口服三康胶囊15 d,在服药前后分别采用功量自行车进行渐增负荷运动,测定其血清 NO、NOS、BLA及Ammo含量.结果服药后较服药前运动后NO水平[(101.02±6.49) Vs (77.10±8.11)]和NOS活性[(71.40±7.23) Vs (56.29±6.28)]均增高, BLA[(7.58±0.79)Vs (6.13±0.74)]和Ammo[(80.11±9.44)Vs (69.38±8.86)]降低,有非常显著性差异(P<0.01).结论 三康胶囊能增强高原移居者运动后NOS活性,加速乳酸清除,减缓运动疲劳的发生.  相似文献

The aim of the present study was to examine whether ischaemic episodes of less than 5 min could induce preconditioning or stunning in the isolated rat heart. Hearts were subjected to total global ischaemia of 1, 2 and 4 min followed by 10 min of reperfusion before an 18-min main ischaemic period and 30 min of reperfusion. The effects on physiology, purine metabolism and anaerobic glycolysis were compared with a control group subjected to the main ischaemia only. The brief ischaemic episodes did not produce stunning based on the recovery of left ventricular developed pressure (LVDP) and heart rate (HR) product during the first reperfusion. Preconditioning of 11–14% increased recovery of LVDP x HR during the second reperfusion was observed in the 1- and 4-min group. In the 2-min group a low repayment of flow debt during the first reperfusion was associated with a slightly reduced recovery of LVDP x HR compared to the other preconditioned groups during the second reperfusion. Only in the 4-min group was preconditioning associated with fewer breakdown products of the purine nucleotide pool (adenosine) and anaerobic glycolysis (lactate) in both tissue and effluate after the main ischaemia. Preconditioning (reflected in recovery of function) could be produced with ischaemic episodes of less than 5 min that did not produce stunning. Thus, stunning is probably not the primary cause of preconditioning.  相似文献

McKeown-Eyssen (Cancer Epidemiol. Biomarkers Prevent., 3, 687-695, 1994) and Giovannucci (Cancer Causes Control, 6, 164-179, 1995), noting the striking similarity in lifestyle risk factors for colorectal cancer and insulin resistance, proposed that the hyperinsulinemia, glycemia and hypertriglyceridemia associated with insulin resistance promotes colon cancer. To compare the effect of diet on colon cancer promotion and insulin resistance in the F344 rat, we assessed the effect of fat, n-3 fatty acids and energy in pairwise comparisons on average size of aberrant crypt foci (ACF) and on glucose intolerance in the same animals in a single experiment. Diets high in fat and energy increased and diets with increased n-3 fatty acids and calorie restriction decreased both ACF growth and glucose intolerance compared with control diets. The measures of promotion of colon cancer and insulin resistance were strongly correlated (n = 98, r = 0.67, P < 0.001). In addition, both were highly correlated with daily energy intake (r = 0.62 and 0.66) and were also correlated with basal (post-prandial) insulin, glucose and triglycerides (r = 0.31-0.53, P < 0.01). We concluded that ACF growth and glucose intolerance are correlated for a wide range of diets and that increased circulating energy (glucose and triglycerides) may lead to both colon cancer promotion and insulin resistance.   相似文献

Besides the use of autologous bone grafting several osteoconductive and osteoinductive methods have been reported to improve bone healing. However, persistent non‐union occurs in a considerable number of cases and compromised angiogenesis is suspected to impede bone regeneration. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) improves angiogenesis. This study evaluates the effects of HBO on bone defects treated with autologous bone grafting in a bone defect model in rabbits. Twenty‐four New‐Zealand White Rabbits were subjected to a unilateral critical sized diaphyseal radius bone defect and treated with autologous cancellous bone transplantation. The study groups were exposed to an additional HBO treatment regimen. Bone regeneration was evaluated radiologically and histologically at 3 and 6 weeks, angiogenesis was assessed by immunohistochemistry at three and six weeks. The additional administration of HBO resulted in a significantly increased new bone formation and angiogenesis compared to the sole treatment with autologous bone grafting. These results were apparent after three and six weeks of treatment. The addition of HBO therapy to autologous bone grafts leads to significantly improved bone regeneration. The increase in angiogenesis observed could play a crucial role for the results observed. © 2015 Orthopaedic Research Society. Published by Wiley Periodicals, Inc. PURPOSE: Macular pigment (MP) may protect against age-related macular degeneration. This study was conducted to determine the extent of changes in the macular pigment density as a consequence of oral supplementation with lutein. A second purpose was to compare two objective measurement techniques. METHODS: In the first technique, reflectance maps were made with a scanning laser ophthalmoscope. Digital subtraction of log reflectance maps and comparison between the foveal area and a 14 degrees temporal site provided MP density estimates. In the second technique, spectral fundus reflectance of the fovea was measured with a fundus reflectometer and analyzed with a detailed optical model, to arrive at MP density values. Eight subjects participated in this study. They took 10 mg lutein per day for 12 weeks. Plasma lutein concentration was measured at 4-week intervals. RESULTS: After 4 weeks, mean blood level of lutein had increased from 0.18 to 0.90 microM. It stayed at this level throughout the intake period and declined to 0.28 microM 4 weeks after termination. Measurement of the density of MP showed a within-subject variation of 10% with MP maps and 17% with spectral reflectance analysis. MP density showed a mean linear 4-week increase of 5.3% (P: < 0.001) and 4.1% (P: = 0. 022), respectively. CONCLUSIONS: Supplementation with lutein significantly increased the density of the MP. Analyzing reflectance maps with a scanning laser ophthalmoscope provided very reliable estimates of MP.  相似文献

PURPOSE: To describe concentric visual field loss found in the presurgical evaluation of patients with drug-resistant temporal lobe epilepsy and relate the findings to potential causative factors. METHODS: A series of 157 consecutive patients with drug-resistant temporal lobe epilepsy, who had been selected for neurosurgical treatment, was examined in a study set up as a prospective investigation of their visual fields, to document the loss of visual field resulting from surgery. Pre-as well as postoperative visual field examinations were performed following a standard protocol using static and kinetic perimetry. As a number of patients appeared to have an unexplained concentric visual field contraction in the presurgical examination, a relation with potentially causative factors was analyzed in a cross-sectional study of all these patients. Correlations were sought with duration and severity of the seizure disorder, underlying pathology as indicated by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and demonstrated by pathology, any type of antiepileptic drug (AED) ever prescribed, and gender. RESULTS: In this cross-sectional analysis of 157 consecutive patients who were candidates for surgery for temporal lobe epilepsy, absolute concentric contraction of the visual field of 10 to 30 degrees was found in the presurgical examination in 20 (17%) of 118 patients who had ever used vigabatrin (VGB) and in none of 39 who had not had this medication. This difference was significant (p = 0.004). In addition, men [15 (21%) of 72] were significantly more often affected (p = 0.007) than women [five (6%) of 85]. The degree of visual field loss, as indicated by the Esterman grid, showed a positive correlation with the duration of VGB medication. There was no correlation of visual field contraction with a history of meningitis as potential cause of the epilepsy, duration of the epilepsy, status epilepticus in the medical history, or histologic abnormality of the brain tissue removed. Ophthalmologic examination of the patients with concentric contraction revealed no abnormalities. None of the patients with concentric contraction complained spontaneously of their visual field loss. CONCLUSIONS: VGB medication is a causative factor in concentric visual field loss. Visual field examination of patients using VGB should be seriously considered.  相似文献

PURPOSE: To ascertain the clinical features and long-term visual prognosis of birdshot chorioretinopathy (BCR), and to identify patients at risk of visual loss. DESIGN: Retrospective noncomparative case series. PARTICIPANTS: Fifty-five consecutive patients with HLA-A29-positive BCR who were identified in ophthalmology departments of the University Medical Center of Utrecht and The Eye Hospital Rotterdam, of whom 37 were observed for at least 5 years. INTERVENTION: A review of the medical and photographic and/or angiographic records of 55 patients with HLA-A29-positive BCR. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Numerous variables were compared, including age and gender distribution, onset and course of BCR, ocular manifestations, therapeutic strategies and their outcomes, complications, systemic diseases, visual acuity (VA), and features associated with poor visual outcome. RESULTS: Loss of VA was gradual; the number of affected eyes with VA less than 20/200 increased from 9 of 108 (8%) at onset to 22 of 73 (30%) at 5 years and 19 of 49 (39%) at 10 years of follow-up. The cause of compromised VA was predominantly macular edema and macular atrophy (42 of 55 [76% of cases]). We found strong associations between the VA at onset and visual outcome after 5 and 10 years (P = 0.005 and P = 0.006, respectively). Mean VA at the 5-year follow-up was significantly lower if macular leakage was observed on angiography (P<0.001). No differences in annual loss of VA were observed between patients treated by standard therapeutic modalities and untreated patients. CONCLUSION: The visual prognosis of BCR in a spectrum of uveitis is poor, and the recommended therapeutic regimens have had no effect on long-term visual prognosis. New treatment strategies are needed for this blinding disorder.  相似文献

PURPOSE: To determine the value of electrophysiological findings in patients with temporal lobe epilepsy and to relate these findings to the amount of concentric contraction of the visual field and the use of vigabatrin. METHODS: Electro-retinograms and electro-oculograms were done on 30 patients, operated for temporal lobe epilepsy. The patients were divided into three groups: (A) concentric contraction of the visual field associated with a history of vigabatrin medication (15 patients), (B) normal visual field with vigabatrin use (11 patients) and (C) normal visual field without vigabatrin medication (4 patients). RESULTS: Electrophysiological abnormalities were found in 50% of the patients in group A. The Arden ratio of the EOG was lowered in 57%. Abnormalities in the ERG were found: b-wave implicit time photopic F was prolonged (50%), b-wave amplitudes scotopic B (53%), C (73%) and G (50%) and photopic H (50%) were diminished. The amount of visual field loss and the total dose of vigabatrin used, showed only slight correlation with the ERG and EOG. The use of vigabatrin during the ERG and EOG recording in group A, gave a higher b-wave amplitude scotopic G in 64% of cases. The a-wave implicit times scotopic G (73%) and photopic G (59%) and H (73%) were shortened in group B. CONCLUSION: EOG was abnormal in 57% in group A. ERG abnormalities could only be found in 50% of group A, mainly in the inner retina. Since also the total dose of vigabatrin and the amount of visual field loss did not really show a correlation with the electrophysiological findings and results of literature are not unanimous, electrophysiology does not appear at present to be a good method to detect patients with, or at risk of, vigabatrin associated visual field loss. Regularly performed visual field examination remains the cornerstone in screening.  相似文献
