THE ADVANTAGES OF A COMBINED T-PIECE AND NON-REBREATHING VALVE: A SIMPLE DEVICE

A combined device is described which is considered to utilizethe advantages of both the T-piece and non-rebreathing valve,while eliminating the disadvantages. The device incorporatesthe reservoir bag and inhalation valve of the non-rebreathingsystem and the expiratory reservoir limb of the T-piece.     

A UNIVERSAL VALVE FOR ANAESTHETIC CIRCUITS

During intermittent positive pressure respiration, volume-controlledrather than pressure-controlled ventilation is preferred. Toaccomplish volume-controlled ventilation, a safe, efficient,universal valve has been designed. This valve has an adequatelylow opening pressure and an automatic exit closure when desired.
