Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) exhibited biostimulatory effects on fibroblasts viability. Secretomes can be administered to culture mediums by using bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells conditioned medium (BM-MSCs CM). This study investigated the combined effects of LLLT and human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell conditioned medium (hBM-MSCs CM) on the cellular viability of human dermal fibroblasts (HDFs), which was cultured in a high-glucose (HG) concentration medium. The HDFs were cultured either in a concentration of physiologic (normal) glucose (NG; 5.5 mM/l) or in HG media (15 mM/l) for 4 days. LLLT was performed with a continuous-wave helium-neon laser (632.8 nm, power density of 0.00185 W/cm2 and energy densities of 0.5, 1, and 2 J/cm2). About 10 % of hBM-MSCs CM was added to the HG HDF culture medium. The viability of HDFs was evaluated using dimethylthiazol-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay. A significantly higher cell viability was observed when laser of either 0.5 or 1 J/cm2 was used to treat HG HDFs, compared to the control groups. The cellular viability of HG-treated HDFs was significantly lower compared to the LLLT?+?HG HDFs, hBM-MSCs CM-treated HG HDFs, and LLLT?+?hBM-MSCs CM-treated HG HDFs. In conclusion, hBM-MSCs CM or LLLT alone increased the survival of HG HDFs cells. However, the combination of hBM-MSCs CM and LLLT improved these results in comparison to the conditioned medium.  相似文献

BACKGROUNDThere is recently a concern regarding the reinfection and reactivation of previously reCoVered coronavirus disease 2019 (CoVID-19) patients.AIMTo summarize the recent findings and reports of CoVID-19 reinfection in patients previously reCoVered from the disease.METHODSThis study was a systematic review of current evidence conducted in August 2020. The authors studied the probable reinfection risk of novel coronavirus (CoVID-19). We performed a systematic search using the keywords in online databases. The investigation adheres to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) checklist to ensure the reliability and validity of this study and results.RESULTSWe reviewed 31 studies. Eight studies described reCoVered patients with reinfection. Only one study reported reinfected patients who died. In 26 studies, there was no information about the status of the patients. Several studies indicated that reinfection is not probable and that post-infection immunity is at least temporary and short.CONCLUSIONBased on our review, we concluded that a positive polymerase chain reaction retest could be due to several reasons and should not always be considered as reinfection or reactivation of the disease. Most relevant studies in positive retest patients have shown relative and probably temporary immunity after the reCoVery of the disease.  相似文献

Given the important aspects of wound healing approaches, in this work, an innovative biocompatible nanobiocomposite scaffold was designed and prepared based on cross-linked lignin–agarose hydrogel, extracted silk fibroin solution, and zinc chromite (ZnCr2O4) nanoparticles. Considering the cell viability technique, red blood cell hemolysis in addition to anti-biofilm assays, it was determined that after three days, the toxicity of the cross-linked lignin–agarose/SF/ZnCr2O4 nanobiocomposite was less than 13%. Moreover, the small hemolytic effect (1.67%) and high level of prevention in forming a P. aeruginosa biofilm with low OD value (0.18) showed signs of considerable hemocompatibility and antibacterial activity. Besides, according to an in vivo assay study, the wounds of mice treated with the cross-linked lignin–agarose/SF/ZnCr2O4 nanobiocomposite scaffold were almost completely healed in five days. Aside from these biological tests, the structural features were evaluated by FT-IR, EDX, FE-SEM, and TG analyses, as well as swelling ratio, rheological, and compressive mechanical study tests. Additionally, it was concluded that adding silk fibroin and ZnCr2O4 nanoparticles could enhance the mechanical tensile properties of cross-linked lignin–agarose hydrogel, and also an elastic network was characterized for this designed nanobiocomposite.

Objective To calculate couple-year of protection (CYP) by conversion coefficient (F) of tubectomy and vasectomy in urban and rural regions of Iran. Methods A total of 103 450 married women aged 10-49 years in 2005 across urban and rural regions of lran were sampled by multi stage cluster sampling. The data were collected by household survey and direct interview and analyzed by STATA8.0 software and survey analysis commands. Results Mean age of the women at the time of tubectomy estimated 31.9 years and conversion coefficient of tubectomy was 17.1 ±0.1. Mean age of women at the time of her husband vasectomy estimated 31.48 years and its conversion coefficient was 17. 5 ± 0. 1. Cluster analysis defined different regions of Iran on the basis of evaluated conversion coefficients of tubectomy and vasectomy which both of them presented seven clusters. Literacy of women and total coverage of family planning in a region had a direct relationship with this conversion coefficient (P〈0.05). Conclusion The variations observed in the conversion coefficients and their dissimilarity among different regions of Iran may be due to a variety of fundamental factors of which literacy and culture are of important factors.  相似文献

Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is defined by a clustering of metabolic and anthropometric abnormalities and is associated by an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. We have investigated the effect of curcumin supplementation on the serum pro‐oxidant–antioxidant balance (PAB) in patients with MetS. This double‐blind, randomized, placebo‐controlled trial was conducted over 6 weeks. Subjects (n = 120) were randomly allocated to one of three groups (curcumin, phospholipidated curcumin, and placebo). The curcumin group received 1 g/day of simple curcumin, the phospholipidated curcumin group received 1 g/day of phospholipidated curcumin (containing 200 mg of pure curcumin), and the control group received 1 g/day of placebo. Serum PAB was measured before and after the intervention (at baseline and at 6 weeks). Data analyses were performed using spss software (version 16.0). Serum PAB increased significantly in the curcumin group (p < 0.001), but in the phospholipidated curcumin group, elevation of PAB level was not significant (p = 0.053). The results of our study did not suggest any improvement of PAB following supplementation with curcumin in MetS subjects. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Objective: Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most malignant and aggressive type of glioma, associated with a high rateof mortality. The transforming growth factor-β receptor II (TGFβ RII) is involved in glioma initiation and progression.On the other hand, TGFβ RII silencing is critical to the inhibition of GBM. Therefore, we aimed to determine theeffects of specific TGFβ RII siRNA on the survival of U-373MG cells. Methods: TGFβ RII siRNA was transfected,and qRT-PCR was performed to examine TGFβ RII mRNA expression. Cell survival was determined using colorimetricMTT assay, and platelet-derived growth factor-BB (PDGF-BB) level was measured in the culture supernatant usingELISA assay. Result: Our findings indicated that specific siRNAs could dose-dependently suppress TGFβ RII mRNAexpression after 48 hours. In addition, treatment with TGFβ RII siRNA significantly reduced tumor cell survival anddecreased the amount of PDGF-BB protein in the cell culture supernatant. Conclusion: Our results suggest that TGFβRII silencing can be a promising complementary treatment for glioma.  相似文献

We examined the influence of chronic administration of nandrolone decanoate with low-intensity endurance swimming exercise on susceptibility to lethal ventricular arrhythmias in rat. The animal groups included the control group, exercise group (EX), nandrolone group (Nan), vehicle group (Arach), trained vehicle group (Arach + Ex) and trained nandrolone group (Nan + Ex) that treated for 8 weeks. Then, arrhythmia induction was performed by intravenous infusion of aconitine and electrocardiogram recorded. Then, malondialdehyde (MDA), hydroxyproline (HYP) and glutathione peroxidase of heart tissue were measured. Chronic administration of nandrolone with low-intensity endurance swimming exercise had no significant effect on blood pressure, heart rate and basal ECG parameters except RR interval that showed increase (P < 0.05). Low-intensity exercise could prevent the incremental effect of nandrolone on MDA and HYP significantly. It also increased the heart hypertrophy index (P < 0.05) and reduced the abating effect of nandrolone on animal weighting. Nandrolone along with exercise significantly increased the duration of VF (P < 0.05) and reduced the VF latency (P < 0.05). The findings suggest that chronic co-administration of nandrolone with low-intensity endurance swimming exercise to some extent facilitates the occurrence of ventricular fibrillation in rat. Complementary studies are needed to elucidate the involved mechanisms of this abnormality.  相似文献

New self-assembled architectures have received great interest in nanotechnology, and are a highly desired target in recent studies. Among self-assembled architectures, noble metal aerogels are an important class owing to their collective characters as well as widespread applications. The synthesis of noble metal aerogels still faces several obstacles such as long hydrogel creation time and complicated multistep strategies. In this paper, we propose an efficient and useful approach to create the three-dimensional network of a Pd–Cu aerogel. This way offers a number of advantages including one-pot synthesis, simplicity, and short time to prepare the hydrogel. The Pd–Cu aerogel was prepared by the reduction of H2PdCl4 and CuCl2 in the presence of sodium carbonate by using glyoxylic acid monohydrate as a reducing agent followed by supercritical CO2 drying. The Pd–Cu aerogel was applied as an anode catalyst for electrooxidation process of formic acid, and depicts much higher electrocatalytic activity and durability compared to the Pd/C. We believe that the exceptional three-dimensional nanostructures fabricated by this route are powerful and promising catalysts for application in direct formic acid fuel cells (DFAFCs), which may open great opportunities for widespread applications such as catalysis, sensors, optoelectronics, electrochemical energy systems, etc.

Oral lichen planus (OLP) is a common chronic disease of uncertain origin. Many patients with OLP are refractory to all available therapies. The photodynamic therapy (PDT) was used as a possible alternative method in the treatment of lichen planus. Two patients with five oral lichen planus lesions were treated using topical PDT mediated by methylene blue (MB-PDT). The patients were followed up on sessions 3, 7, 15 days and 1 to 9 months after PDT. Clinical improvement was achieved in four lesions. Two lesions showed complete remission, and another two lesions had about 50% clinically improvement 3-9 months after a single session of PDT. No response detected in one lesion. MB-PDT blue seems to be an effective alternative treatment for control of OLP. In our opinion, this preliminary result warrant further studies in order to show the efficacy of MB-PDT in control of OLP for a longer period of time.  相似文献

Background: Recently has been suggested that LINC01296 has an important role in tumor-promoting in different malignancies. We performed first meta-analysis to assess the association between the LINC01296 expression and clinicopathological criteria and the survival of patients with cancers. Methods: Relevant articles Identified by PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, and Scopus searching between December 2000 and 28 December 2018. Binomial data were evaluated by the odds ratio (OR) as the rapid statistic. The association between overall survival (OS) and the LINC01296 expression was evaluated using pooling the hazard ratio (HR) with its corresponding 95% confidence interval (CI). Results: Finally, 9 studies with 720 patients with cancer were included. The expression of LINC01296 showed a significant positive association with TNM stage (OR = 2.67, 95% CI = 1.83-3.88), tumor stage (OR= 2.22, 95% CI= 1.34-3.66) and lymph node metastasis (OR = 3.07, 95% CI = 2.23-4.21). A shorter OS was significantly associated with the expression of LINC01296 (HR = 3.95, 95% CI = 2.65-5.25) and lymph node metastasis (HR = 2.39, 95% CI =1.16-3.63). The OS did not show significant association with gender (HR = 0.83, 95% CI = -0.63-2.30) and tumor stage (HR= 2.66, 95% CI= -0.22-5.54). Conclusion: In conclusion, the results of this meta-analysis suggest that the expression of LINC01296 might be considered as a potential biomarker in patients with cancer.  相似文献
