Effect of the immunomodulant ximedone on the pharmacokinetics of isonicotinic acid hydrazide in the human organism

The pharmacokinetics of isonicotinic acid hydrazide upon joint administration with the immunomodulant ximedone has been investigated. Ximedone influences the genetically determined parameters of the isonicotinic acid hydrazide pharmacokinetics. The relation of uric acid metabolism to transferase activity in patients with ischemic heart disease and hypertension

Blood plasma uric acid and urea content and aspartate aminotransferase activity were studied in 177 patients with ischemic heart disease and essential hypertension. It was established that the blood uric acid level did not depend essentially on the transamination processes in patients with ischemic heart disease but was closely connected with transamination processes and amino acid metabolism in patients with essential hypertension.     

Antimotion effect of nooglutyl and its neuronal mechanism

Experiments on rats demonstrate that nooglutyl exhibits pronounced vestibular-protective properties and by its antimotion activity does not rank below classic vestibular protectors, such as scopolamine and diprazine. Electrophysiological experiments on cats show that nooglutyl alters spontaneous activity in 80% of cortical neurons (somatosensory zone I and area 5 of the parietal association cortex) and considerably weakens effects caused by motion sickness: activation of single unit activity of somatosensory zone I and inhibition of neuron responses to somatic stimulation. This property of the preparation is believed to form the basis of its antimotion effect. Excitatory effects of kynurenine and its metabolites,amino acids and convulsants administered into brain ventricles: Differences between rats and mice

Summary When introduced intracerebroventricularly, quinolinic acid appeared to be the only kynurenine metabolite among those tested (L- and DL-kynurenine sulfate, kynurenic and nicotinic acids, nicotinamide) which induced locomotor excitement and clonic scizures in rats; in high dosage all exhibited convulsant action in mice. L-Kynurenine sulfate (500g) induced continuous rotation in rats around a longitudinal axis in one or other direction. It also potentiated the convulsant effect of strychnine sulfate and caffeine. Neither the excitatory amino acids, L-glutamic and L-aspartic acids nor the inhibitory amino acids, GABA, glycine and taurine induced excitement or scizures in rats but did in mice. In rats, GABA, glycine and taurine induced sedation, side position and discoordination. The convulsants, strychnine sulfate and pentylenetetrazole, induced scizures both in rats and mice. Differences between species may derive from the better access of intracerebroventricularly administered drugs to mouse hippocampus. Thus mice may be preferable for studies of this type on excitatory amino acids (including kynurenine pathway metabolites) and rats for those on inhibitory amino acids.

1　病例报告　患者男性 ,46岁 .因发热 6 d后头痛、腰痛 ,少尿 7d,于 1999- 11- 2 0入院 .入院前 13d患者出现发热(40℃ ) ,伴轻度恶心、呕吐 . 7d前热退 ,但出现头痛、腰痛及少尿 (10 0～ 35 0 m L· d- 1 ) .头痛、腰痛为持续性钝痛 ,无放散 .患者发病前有鼠类接触史 .体检 :T 37.5℃ ,P 10 0次 /min,BP19/ 11k Pa.穿刺部位可见瘀斑 .球结膜 °水肿 ,无充血 .心肺无异常 .全腹胀 ,叩诊鼓音 ,肝脾未触及 ,双肾区叩击痛阳性 ,肠鸣音 4次 / min.双上肢前臂轻度肿胀 ,压痛 .神经系统查体无异常 .化验 :11月 2 0日血常规 :WBC15 .6×10 9…
