Evaluation of cisplatin-hydrogel for improving localized antitumor efficacy in gastric cancer

Gastric cancer, one of the most common disease, has become a major public health problem worldwide. Cisplatin (DDP) has been a widely used drug for the treatment of cancer, also usually applied in gastric cancer in clinic. However, the side effects including toxicity and drug-resistance restricted the usage of DDP in clinic, so we prepared a DDP-complexed hydrogel (DDP-Gel) and investigated its efficacy in gastric cancer. For in vivo studies, MKN45-Luc cells were injected into BLAB/C node mice subcutaneously to establish gastric cancer with orthotopically grown tumors. Mice bearing tumors were treated with normal saline, DDP and DDP-Gel. Body weight and survival condition were observed and recorded. The treatment efficacy in vivo was detected by luciferase imaging and histological evaluation was performed by H&E staining of different organs. Additionally, normal ICR mice were treated with different doses of DDP/DDP-Gel to calculate their LD₅₀ in vivo. The results showed that DDP-Gel prolonged survival time and ameliorated body weight changes of mice bearing tumors. DDP-Gel exhibited higher efficacy to inhibit tumor growth and metastasis, compared to DDP. Besides, LD₅₀ of DDP-Gel was 166.0?mg/kg, 13.2 folds higher than DDP. As a conclusion, DDP-Gel showed a more effective and safer function than DDP in gastric cancer, which indicating that DDP-Gel might be a novel strategy for gastric cancer therapy.     

A framework for evaluating image segmentation algorithms.

The purpose of this paper is to describe a framework for evaluating image segmentation algorithms. Image segmentation consists of object recognition and delineation. For evaluating segmentation methods, three factors-precision (reliability), accuracy (validity), and efficiency (viability)-need to be considered for both recognition and delineation. To assess precision, we need to choose a figure of merit, repeat segmentation considering all sources of variation, and determine variations in figure of merit via statistical analysis. It is impossible usually to establish true segmentation. Hence, to assess accuracy, we need to choose a surrogate of true segmentation and proceed as for precision. In determining accuracy, it may be important to consider different 'landmark' areas of the structure to be segmented depending on the application. To assess efficiency, both the computational and the user time required for algorithm training and for algorithm execution should be measured and analyzed. Precision, accuracy, and efficiency factors have an influence on one another. It is difficult to improve one factor without affecting others. Segmentation methods must be compared based on all three factors, as illustrated in an example wherein two methods are compared in a particular application domain. The weight given to each factor depends on application.     

抑菌防霉剂—噻苯哒唑的合成

本文介绍了噻苯哒唑的新用途和采用“一锅煮”工艺制备噻唑酸进而制得该防霉剂的合成方法。     

上颌窦窦口的形态观察及其临床意义

目的：为了指导鼻内窥镜下功能性上颌窦手术。方法：对６０个头部标本（男３４，女２６）１２０侧进行了上颌窦口及其毗邻结构的观察测量。结果：上颌窦鼻通道的鼻开口口径为平均３．８ｍｍ，上颌窦通道长度为５．６ｍｍ，鼻内开口到前鼻棘连线与鼻底平面夹角为４５．２°，前鼻棘至鼻内开口的距离为３７．０ｍｍ，下鼻甲前端至鼻内开口距离为１９．５ｍｍ，中鼻甲前端至鼻内开口距离为１４．６ｍｍ。结论：上颌窦窦口为管状通道，该处的病变可以导致窦腔炎症，可以进行内窥镜下窦口扩大术，术中应避免损伤眼眶及鼻泪管。     

冠心康对实验性家兔动脉粥样硬化血清NO及血浆ET-1的影响

目的 :观察中药冠心康预防用药对食饵性动脉粥样硬化 (AS)家兔血清一氧化氮 (NO)及血浆内皮素 1(ET 1)的影响。方法 :采用猪油加胆固醇饲料造模法 ,建立家兔动脉粥样硬化模型。随机分为正常对照组 (N组 ) ,模型组 (M组 ) ,冠心康治疗组 (T组 ) ,复方丹参片治疗对照组 (C组 ) ,各组在实验开始 ,第 6周末 ,第 12周末取血标本测定上述参数。结果 :与M组比较 ,T组、C组均可显著提高血清NO含量 ,降低血浆ET 1含量 (P <0 .0 5 ) ,且T组与C组比较有显著差异(P <0 .0 5 )。结论 :冠心康有维持内源性ET 1和NO的平衡而保护正常内皮功能的作用 ,这可能是其防治冠状动脉粥样硬化和抗心肌缺血作用的机制之一     

血管紧张素转换酶基因多态性对苯那普利治疗糖尿病肾病疗效的影响

按照血管紧张素转换酶 (ACE)基因插入 /缺失多态性不同 ,将 92例 2型糖尿病肾病患者分为II型组 31例 ,ID型组 30例及DD型组 31例。用苯那普利治疗 6个月后 ,观察治疗前后各组的尿白蛋白排泄率 (UAER)、平均动脉压 (MABP)、肌酐清除率 (Ccr)及ACE的变化。结果 :苯那普利治疗后 3组UAER、MABP、ACE均下降 ,以II型组下降幅度最大 (分别为 58.6%、2 .87kPa和 72 .3% ) ,DD型组下降幅度最小 (P <0 .0 5) ;而Ccr在DD型组下降幅度最大 ,II型组下降幅度最小 (P <0 .0 5) ;多元线性逐步回归分析显示 :ACE基因型对UAER下降率有显著回归效果(R2 =0 .72 ,P <0 .0 0 1 )。提示 :ACE基因型影响血管紧张素转换酶抑制剂 (ACEI)对糖尿病肾病的疗效 ,II基因型患者对ACEI治疗更为敏感。     

益气通阳化痰方联合迈之灵治疗下肢深静脉血栓形成的临床研究

目的:研究益气通阳化痰方联合迈之灵治疗下肢深静脉血栓形成的临床疗效。方法:将60例下肢深静脉血栓形成患者随机分为单药治疗组和联合治疗组,两组均予迈之灵口服治疗,联合治疗组加用益气通阳化痰方,10天为1个疗程,两个疗程后分析临床疗效,肢体阻抗血流图和血液流变学变化。结果:联合治疗组在疼痛缓解、下肢肿胀消退、血粘度及肢体血流的改善方面明显优于迈之灵单药治疗组;两组总有效率比较差异具有显著性。结论:益气通阳化痰方联合迈之灵治疗下肢深静脉血栓形成具有较好疗效。     

部分储藏中药材中粉螨孳生情况调查

笔者在淮南地区采集50种(500份)中药材,应用清水漂浮法和塔氏电热集螨器集螨法对其进行了分离,其结果,所有样本中均有粉螨孳生,共分离出粉螨34种,隶属7科19属。因此认为,中药材粉螨污染严重,应加强对中药材孳生螨类的防治。
