Objective
The aim of the study was to evaluate the usefulness of 99mTc-pertechnetate whole body scan (WBS) with neck and chest SPECT/CT for detection of post-surgical thyroid remnant and metastasis in differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) patients. Methods
Fifty-six post total thyroidectomy patients were included. All patients were prospectively imaged with 99mTc-pertechnetate WBS with neck and chest SPECT/CT before 131I ablation. The post-ablative 131I WBS with SPECT/CT was performed at 5–7 days after receiving 131I. Both scans were directly compared to determine the concordance of sites and number of remnant and metastasis. Results
Overall per-patient analysis, the percentage of concordance between two scans was 96.4 %. In thyroid bed, lymph node, lung and bone subgroups, the percentage of concordance between two scans was 96.4, 92.9, 98.2 and 100 %, respectively. All of them show good correlation with unweighted kappa between 0.7 and 1. Overall per-lesion analysis, the percentage of concordance between two scans was 84 %. In thyroid bed, lymph node, lung and bone subgroups, the percentage of concordance between two scans was 89.5, 55, 82.6 and 50 %, respectively. Conclusions
Pre-ablative pertechnetate WBS with neck and chest SPECT/CT has good correlation for the detection of post-surgical thyroid remnant, cervical node and discrete lung nodule metastasis as compared to 131I WBS with SPECT/CT per-patient basis. Because 131I therapeutic activity is desired base on metastatic site and less concerning about the number of lesions, pre-ablative 99mTc-pertechnetate WBS with SPECT/CT was a good alternative tool to avoid radioiodine stunning in post-surgical DTC patients. 相似文献4.

In an attempt to cross-culturally compare factors that may contribute to the nursing shortage within countries that have produced a limited number of research findings on role stress in nurses, this research examined work stressors, ways of coping and demographic characteristics as predictors of physical and mental health among hospital nurses from Japan, South Korea, Thailand and the USA (Hawaii). Subjects (n = 1554 hospital-based nurses) were administered four self-report questionnaires: Demographic Questionnaire, "Nursing Stress Scale", "Ways of Coping Questionnaire" and "SF-36 Health Survey". Findings suggested that nurses indicated similar workplace stressors, ways of coping, and levels of physical and mental health. While subjects, across countries, demonstrated a variety of predictors of physical and mental health, several predictors were found to be the same. Cross-culturally the role of nurses may vary; however, certain factors are predictive of the status of hospital nurses' physical health and mental health. 相似文献

In this cross‐sectional study, we aimed to determine factors influencing the health status of caregivers of stroke survivors. A total of 126 caregivers of stroke survivors were recruited from three outpatient clinics in Thai Nguyen National General Hospital, Vietnam, from November 2016 to March 2017. Data were collected through six instruments: a demographic questionnaire, the Modified Barthel Index, the Zarit Burden Interview Scale, the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, the Family Caregiver Conflict Scale, and the Short Form‐36 Health Survey. Stepwise multiple regression was employed to analyze the data. Caregiver burden, patient's functional status, caregiver's age, and social support together explained 80.3% of the variations in health status of caregivers of stroke survivors. Caregiver burden was the strongest predictor of health status of these caregivers. Based on the findings, nurses should take caregiver's age, functional status of stroke survivors, caregiver burden, and social support into consideration when preparing family caregivers to provide care for stroke survivors. To reduce perceived caregiver burden, family support interventions should be embraced to enhance health status of the caregivers of stroke survivors. 相似文献
