Semiconductor nanocrystals, i.e., quantum dots (QD) are a new and promising (in terms of use in biology and, medicine) class
of inorganic fluorescent materials. The aim of the present work was to identify the advantages and disadvantages of QD in
immunocytochemical studies. Streptavidin-QD conjugates were found to have a series of advantages over streptavidin conjugates
with organic fluorochromes (high fluorescence intensity, photostability, wider range of excitation, narrow and symmetrical
emission peak), which allows them to be recommended for use in immunocytochemical studies. However, a number of disadvantages
were also identified (lower stability on prolonged storage than conjugates with organic fluorochromes, poor preservation of
aliquots of reagent, inability to retain fluorescence in stained specimens on prolonged storage, incompatibility with a number
of commercially available media used for embedding specimens), preventing the wide use of nanocrystals in immunocytochemistry. 相似文献

The authors examined 85 patients with intrathoracic tuberculosis in whom the tuberculous process had been complicated by tuberculosis of the bronchi with their developed obstruction and as a result of atelectasis. Then the atelectasis-affected area became fibrotic. It was found that with the developed atelectasis, there was a persistent cession of bacterial isolation occurred, closure of decay cavities in the lung tissue, resolution of fresh focal and infiltrative changes. The presence of scarring bronchial stenosis and fibrotic atelectasis suggests of a full clinical recovery from intrathoracic tuberculosis. 相似文献

An effect of the administration of thyroid hormones at small doses (on the one hand) and hypothyroidism (on the other hand) on stress-induced changes of myocardial contractility and adrenoreactivity was studied in experiments on 86 random bred male rats. The use of thyroid hormones at small doses irrespective of a drug form prevents stress-induced decrease of cardiac contractility and preserves a sufficiently high level of myocardial adrenoreactivity. The suppression of thyroid function of the thyroid gland led to a decrease in adrenoreactivity and caused more profound disorder of contractility in stress. All these data suggest that physiological doses of thyroid hormones prevent cardiac contractility disorders and preserve sufficiently high myocardial adrenoreactivity. 相似文献
