Over the past 10 years, arteriography has become a well-established technique for the diagnosis of acute lower gastrointestinal bleeding, but not particularly for rectal bleeding. However, to the authors' knowledge, the technique of middle hemorrhoidal artery embolization has rarely been reported in the literature. Objective:A new Bayesian penalized likelihood reconstruction algorithm for positron emission tomography (PET) (Q.Clear) is now in clinical use for fludeoxyglucose (FDG) PET/CT. However, experience with non-FDG tracers and in special patient populations is limited. This pilot study aims to compare Q.Clear to standard PET reconstructions for 18F sodium fluoride (18F-NaF) PET in obese patients.Methods:30 whole body 18F-NaF PET/CT scans (10 patients with BMI 30–40 Kg/m2 and 20 patients with BMI >40 Kg/m2) and a NEMA image quality phantom scans were analyzed using ordered subset expectation maximization (OSEM) and Q.Clear reconstructions methods with B400, 600, 800 and 1000. The images were assessed for overall image quality (IQ), noise level, background soft tissue, and lesion detectability, contrast recovery (CR), background variability (BV) and contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) for both algorithms.Results:CNR for clinical cases was higher for Q.Clear than OSEM (p < 0.05). Mean CNR for OSEM was (21.62 ± 8.9), and for Q.Clear B400 (31.82 ± 14.6), B600 (35.54 ± 14.9), B800 (39.81 ± 16.1), and B1000 (40.9 ± 17.8). As the β value increased the CNR increased in all clinical cases. B600 was the preferred β value for reconstruction in obese patients. The phantom study showed Q.Clear reconstructions gave lower CR and lower BV than OSEM. The CNR for all spheres was significantly higher for Q.Clear (independent of β) than OSEM (p < 0.05), suggesting superiority of Q.Clear.Conclusion:This pilot clinical study shows that Q.Clear reconstruction algorithm improves overall IQ of 18F-NaF PET in obese patients. Our clinical and phantom measurement results demonstrate improved CNR and reduced BV when using Q.Clear. A β value of 600 is preferred for reconstructing 18F-NaF PET/CT with Q.Clear in obese patients.Advances in knowledge:18F-NaF PET/CT is less susceptible to artifacts induced by body habitus. Tandem configuration-containing perovskite and silicon solar cells are promising candidates for realizing a high power conversion efficiency of 30% at reasonable costs. Silicon solar cells with planar front surfaces used in tandem devices cause high optical losses, which significantly affects their efficiency. Moreover, some studies have explored the fabrication of perovskites on textured silicon cells. However, due to improper texturing, light trapping is not ideal in these devices, which reduces the efficiency. In this work, we optimized the pyramid height of textured silicon cells and efficiently characterized them to achieve enhanced light trapping. Two different kinds of perovskites, namely, Cs0.17FA0.6Pb(Br0.17I0.7)3 and Cs0.25FA0.6Pb(Br0.20I0.7)3 with wide bandgaps were conformally deposited on textured silicon cells, and the performance of these flat and fully textured tandem devices was numerically analyzed. The thickness of each layer in the tandem cell was optimized in a way to ensure a perfect current match between the top perovskite and bottom silicon subcells. The results indicated that the textured tandem configuration enhances light absorption over a broad spectral range due to the optimized pyramid height compared to flat surfaces. Eventually, the photovoltaic parameters of the proposed tandem cell were compared with the already existing structures, and our design supports large values of open circuit voltage (Voc) = 1.78 V, short circuit current density (Jsc) = 20.09 mA cm−2, fill factor (FF) = 79.01%, and efficiency (η) = 28.20% compared to other kinds of tandem solar cells.Tandem configuration-containing perovskite and silicon solar cells are promising candidates for realizing a high power conversion efficiency of 30% at reasonable costs. 相似文献

Objectives
The purpose of the present study was to test the hypothesis that apical extrusion of the irrigant occurs during laser-driven irrigation in vivo.Materials and methods
Three hundred human root canals, in 181 patients, were divided into two groups: the no lesion group (n?=?140) and the lesion group (n?=?160). All the root canals were enlarged using a crown down technique up to size 30–80 K-files, depending on the original condition of the root canal. For the final irrigation, the teeth were irrigated with a mixture of radiopaque contrast medium and NaOCl in solution. The solution was activated for 60 s in teeth with one canal or two canals and for 120 s in teeth with three or four canals.Results
Radiopaque contrast medium was absent from the periapical tissues of all samples.Conclusions

Conversion of nitroaniline (NA), a highly toxic pollutant that has been released into aquatic systems due to unmanaged industrial development in recent years, into the less harmful or a useful counterpart is the need of the hour. Various methods for its conversion and removal have been explored. Owing to its nominal features of advanced effectiveness, the chemical reduction of 4-NA using various different nanocatalytic systems is one such approach that has attracted tremendous interest over the past few years. The academic literature has been confined to case studies involving silver (Ag) and gold (Au) nanoparticles, as these are the two most widely used materials for the synthesis of nanocatalytic assemblies. Focus has also been given to sodium borohydride (NaBH4), which is used as a reductant during the chemical reduction of NA. This systematic review summarizes the fundamentals associated with the catalytic degradation of 4-NA, and presents a comprehensive and critical study of the latest modifications used in the synthesis of these catalytic systems. Periodontitis is characterized by inflammation of the periodontium and leads to loss of teeth if untreated. Although a number of surgical and pharmacological options are available for the management of periodontitis, it still affects a large proportion of population. Recently, metformin (MF), an oral hypoglycemic, has been used to treat periodontitis. The aim of this review is to systematically evaluate the efficacy of MF in the treatment of periodontitis. An electronic search was carried out using the keywords ‘metformin’, ‘periodontal’ and ‘periodontitis’ via the PubMed/Medline, ISI Web of Science and Google Scholar databases for relevant articles published from 1949 to 2016. The addressed focused question was: ‘Is metformin effective in reducing bone loss in periodontitis? Critical review and meta-analysis were conducted of the results obtained in the selected studies. Following the removal of the duplicate results, the primary search resulted in 17 articles and seven articles were excluded based on title and abstract. Hence, 10 articles were read completely for eligibility. After exclusion of four irrelevant studies, six articles were included. The topical application of MF resulted in improved histological, clinical and radiographic outcomes. Additionally, results from the meta-analysis indicated that application of metformin improved the clinical and radiographic outcomes of scaling and root-planing, but at the same time heterogeneity was evident among the results. However, because of a lack of histological and bacterial studies, in addition to short follow-up periods and risk of bias, the long-term efficacy of MF in the treatment of bony defects is not yet ascertained. Further studies are needed to envisage the long-term efficacy of MF in the management of periodontitis. 相似文献
