目的 分析肥胖儿童与正常儿童饮食结构及营养素摄入的差异,为肥胖干预提供科学依据。方法 以2016年6月—2017年6月至西安交通大学第二附属医院儿科内分泌门诊就诊的70名7~14岁单纯性肥胖患儿及70名体重正常儿童分别作为肥胖组及对照组,测量所有儿童身高、体重、腰围、臀围、血压和体脂,并计算体重指数(BMI)及腰臀比。对所有儿童采用3日24小时回顾法调查儿童每日摄入的总热量、三大营养物质的量、微量营养素及三餐比例等情况,并采用上海惠诚有限公司的膳食营养分析软件对儿童膳食结构及营养素摄入情况分析。结果 肥胖组与对照组相比,总热量及蛋白质、脂肪及碳水化合物、脂肪及蛋白质供能比、硫胺素和维生素A、钠、锌、铁、钙的摄入量显著升高,差异均有统计学意义(P均<0.01);但碳水化合物的供能比显著降低,差异有统计学意义(P<0.01)。结论 肥胖儿童存在三大营养素及矿物质摄入比例失衡,长期营养摄入过量可导致肥胖,调整肥胖患儿的膳食结构时,需注意矿物质及维生素摄入比例。  相似文献

BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES

The aim of this research was to study the different long term effects of consumption of dietary oil sources with varying omega-6/omega-3 (ω-6/ω-3) polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) ratios on bone marrow fatty acid level, ex vivo prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) release, and mineral content of bone in rabbits.

MATERIALS/METHODS

For this purpose, weaning and female New Zealand white rabbits were purchased and randomly divided into five groups and offered ad libitum diets containing 70 g/kg of added oil for 100 days. The dietary lipid treatments were formulated to provide the following ratios of ω-6/ω-3 fatty acids: 8.68 soy bean oil (SBO control), 21.75 sesame oil (SO), 0.39 fish oil (FO), 0.63 algae oil (DHA), and 0.68 algae oils (DHA/ARA). DHA and ARA are two types of marine microalgae of the genus Crypthecodinium cohnii.

RESULTS

The dietary treatments had significant effects on the bone marrow fatty acids of rabbits. Rabbits fed the FO diet, containing the highest ω-3 PUFA concentration, and those fed the SBO diet showed the highest ω-6 PUFA. On the other hand, a positive correlation was observed between Ex vivo PGE2 level and the ω-6/ω-3 dietary ratio. Significant effects of dietary treatment on femur Ca, P, Mg, and Zn contents were observed in both genders.

CONCLUSIONS

Findings of the current study clearly demonstrated that dietary PUFA, particularly ω-6/ω-3 and ARA/EPA ratios are important factors in determining bone marrow fatty acid profile, and this in turn determines the capacity of bone for synthesis of PGE2, thereby reducing bone resorption and improving bone mass during growth.  相似文献

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is highly prevalent and has major health consequences for patients. Caring for patients with CKD requires knowledge of the food supply, renal pathophysiology, and nutrition‐related medications used to work synergistically with diet to control the signs and symptoms of the disease. The nutrition care process and International Dietetic and Nutrition Terminology allow for systematic, holistic, quality care of patients with this complex, progressive disease. Nutrition interventions must be designed with the individual patients needs in mind while prioritizing factors with the largest negative impact on health outcomes and mortality risk. New areas of nutrition treatment are emerging that involve a greater focus on micronutrient needs, the microbiome, and vegetarian‐style diets. These interventions may improve outcomes by decreasing inflammation, improving energy and protein delivery, and lowering phosphorus, electrolytes, and fluid retention.  相似文献

Background

The use of alternative therapies like herbs and dietary supplements is very common among hypertensive and diabetic patients all over the globe. Hypertension is a silent disease that causes increase in cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, renal morbidity and mortality whereas diabetic complications cause heart attack, stroke, blindness and kidney disease. These are serious and chronic metabolic disorders that have a significant impact on the health, quality of life, and life expectancy of patients, as well as on the health care systems. Orthodox drugs used for the treatment of hypertension and diabetes produce side effects such as headache, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, constipation, diarrhea, weakness, fatigue and erectile dysfunction. The need for considering alternate therapies in the form of dietary supplements known to promote good health, having little or no side effects therefore arises.

Materials and methods

This review was carried out using comprehensive and systematic literature reports on the concurrent use of dietary supplements in the management of diabetes and hypertension. Empirical searches were conducted using Google scholar (http://scholar.google.com), and Science Direct (http://www.sciencedirect.com). In addition to these databases, the University database was also used. Searches were also undertaken using keyword combinations such as dietary supplements and the names of the diseases in question.

Result and Discussion

This review chronicled the therapeutic values of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, fruits, vegetables, herbs and other botanicals used as dietary supplements. Results show that these supplements provided better and safe substitutes to toxic and expensive conventional drugs. Generally dietary supplements are free from major side effects, readily available and affordable. It is envisaged that the use of dietary supplement will promote good health and improve the status of hypertensive and diabetic patients.

Conclusion

Medical doctors are therefore encouraged to incorporate dietary supplements into the regimen employed for hypertension and diabetes management.  相似文献

Zn is an essential nutrient that is required in humans and animals for many physiological functions, including immune and antioxidant function, growth, and reproduction. The present study evaluated whether Zn deficiency would negatively affect bone-related enzyme, ALP, and other bone-related minerals (Ca, P and Mg) in rats. Thirty Sprague Dawley rats were assigned to one of the three different Zn dietary groups, such as Zn adequate (ZA, 35 mg/kg), pair fed (PF, 35 mg/kg), Zn deficient (ZD, 1 mg/kg) diet, and fed for 10 weeks. Food intake and body weight were measured daily and weekly, respectively. ALP was measured by spectrophotometry and mineral contents were measured by inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrophotometer (ICP-MS). Zn deficient rats showed decreased food intake and body weight compared with Zn adequate rats (p<0.05). Zn deficiency reduced ALP activity in blood (RBC, plasma) and the tissues (liver, kidney and small intestine) (p<0.05). Also, Zn deficiency reduced mineral concentrations in rat tissues (Ca for muscle and liver, and Mg for muscle and liver) (p<0.05). The study results imply the requirement of proper Zn nurture for maintaining bone growth and formation.  相似文献

Oestrogen levels play a major role in conditioning the rates of bone changes in women. Tamoxifen is a synthetic oestrogen antagonist commonly used as an adjuvant therapy for breast cancer. The goal of the present study was to study the amount and the elemental composition of bone minerals in the appedicular skeleton of women with breast cancer treated with adjuvant tamoxifen, as well as to investigate the possibility of increased risk for osteoporosis. Forty-two patients, aged 41–65 years, without skeletal metastases were studied. The mean duration of tamoxifen administration on a daily dose of 20 mg was 21 months (range 1–59 months). It was found that neither the amount of phosphorus in hands (HBP) nor forearm bone mineral content (BMC) differ statistically from those of age-matched healthy subjects. This was confirmed by reassessing bone mineral status after 30 months in 17 postmenopausal patients treated with tamoxifen for a mean time of 52 months. In conclusion, our data support that long-term tamoxifen treatment has no adverse or protective effect on the amount and elemental composition of the appedicular skeleton.  相似文献
